Such an interesting temple to visit, the temple is under renovation but you can still get a feel for the glory and splendour it previously held and no doubt will hold again. An amazing spiritual place to visit and to absorb how other religions serve their deities. I thought it was a real lesson as there are good for all different aspects of your life, I can only imagine walking around communicating with each deity would help you clarify the goals in your life in so many different areas. What would you ask the deity of financial abundance for, or the deity for love and relationships, or the deity for family, or personal growth, or health etc?
Such a peaceful place, secluded area for paying homage to God. Amazing environment.... Easily accessible by train and bus. The temple gives me extraordinary vibes of beauty. You will love the aesthetics and surrounding there. And it's huge!! Highly recommended...
Nice temple, fairly maintained. Could add a few benches for people to sit outside in good weather Nice sculptures inside too but photos not allowed. Indian temples should rethink this rule
Temple is really nice, and the surrounding is also amazing. Do visit inside the temple, as they have made identically same as temples in India. It was an awesome experience. Must try the Canteen food, you will definitely feel the India test and spices.
Lord Sri Venkateshvara Temple SVT in quaint Helensburgh town of New South Wales stands in traditional style of Indian architecture, creating a truly unique and beautiful cultural jewel in the landscape of Helensburgh. SVT is the counterpart of the famous Tirupati Temple in South India to some extent The consecration of the temple by sacred waters performed in June, 1985. The temple now serves as a House of Light, a source of solace and spiritual guidance, for all of Australia’s Hindu community and to visitors as well. Temple staff offer daily religious services and special services on individual booking; free entrance with guidelines of Hindu ways to follow along with all other prevailing pandemic directions; membership & donations are welcome. Temple has a Canteen thats open on Saturdays, Sundays & on public holidays from 10am -4pm serves Vegetarian Menu of Indian Cuisine. SVT Visit an experience cum a spiritual journey that cannot be missed.
a great place and peaceful environment with many small temples for various gods and goddess. Every visit to this temple gives a memorable experience with blessings of god Sri Venkateshwara and other deities. busy canteen over the weekend, temple and surrounds are overall maintained very clean and all the health protocols are strictly followed.
Short drive from Sydney, Nice and beautiful temple. Currently lot of construction happening inside and outside of the temple, getting the temple ready for MAHA KUMBABHISEKAM on April 10 2023. Canteen is available in the weekend and food taste is good. Lot of parking available.
The Temple is easily accessible with B15 from Helensburgh. Big and spacious temple. Not just Sri Venkateswara, you can also see Sri Chandramouleswara as well.
This review is of the temple as a non-Hindu tourist. A really beautiful place to visit, and observe and take in a bit of culture. A clearly important spiritual and religious place of worship so don't bother coming if you dont have the appreciation and respect to treat it and the people there with it i.e. follow culturual customs, be respectful, follow the signs etc. It's a beautiful thing that they are sharing this with non practicing people so let's cherish that! Location is beautiful nestled in the australian bush, plenty of parking, GREAT vegetarian good!
We came here for the food, HUGE LINES. 1.5hr wait be patient. All staff was volunteer base so be kind and compassionate and polite please. The order system is very streamlined. Online system, card payment and separate counters for pick up for different foods. Very efficient just very long lines cause everyone is hungry. The DOSAS WERE AMAZING. Loved the vege rolls too. Vada we’re enjoyable had an interesting texture spongy and chewy! Recommend the hot masala tea.
