Excellent service from the staff.. the aesthetic is very cozy. Love the open kitchen. The food is just so good. We ordered 6 different dishes for 2 people.Recommended dishesShort Rib Lamb Biriyani, Egg Hoppers and Curry Dip
Seriously good food. From their rotis and hoppers to their curries, everything was absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked, well seasoned and packed with spice. Their crab curry is the best I've had in Sydney.
I wanted to visit a Sri Lankan restaurant for sometime now. My friend suggested me Sri Lankan Street food. I reserved the table well in advance as walk-ins can be risky during Friday and weekends. I liked the vibe here. Inner room where we were made to sit weren’t bright and I didn’t like it. I managed to click some photos and some beautiful artefacts hanging on wall. We ordered chicken hoppers, veg kottu, chicken roll and paneer chilly. Amongst all we loved vegetarian Kottu. A nicely presented dish with a generous quantity. Might not be enough for two people. Chicken Hoppers were good at taste and presented beautifully with chicken curry, and sambol. Chicken rolls is a best seller as per the staff. And without hesitation we tried it. I didn’t find it special or felt any extraordinary about it. The only good thing about it is that it’s less expensive. I was surprised to see Paneer chilly dry on the specials and we ordered it. Honestly, this dish should not be a menu for following reasons: - expensive - less number of paneer pieces - more veggies - too many sauces makes it taste funny Overall, I would want to visit it again for hopper and kottu. Service is fast and you won’t be waiting for long hours.
absolutely amazed at the food we ate tonight! I have not been able to find vegan kottu anywhere before so I was super happy to be able to eat it at dish. The food came quickly and was delicious. we ordered the potato curry and the vegan kottu. so sad that I do not live in Sydney otherwise this place would become a go to for me. definitely recommend making the trip to visit if you're looking for good vegan Sri Lankan food.
Absolutely delicious Sri Lankan food. Friendly and fast service. Generous portions and reasonably priced approx $23 a dish. All the dishes were unique and flavourful. Recommend the lamb dosa which is HUGE, roti kottu my favourite, lamprais, beef curry with roti, mango lassi. They make the roti, dosa and hoppers fresh. The waitress checked up on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was good. Colourful decor and located in the quiet end of Glebe point road. Will be back to try more dishes
Fantastic Food, even though the restaurant was struggling with staff shortages due to covid they took care of us really well no complains. As vegetarians we had no complains either. We enjoyed the hoppers, parathas, jackfruit biriyani and particularly the desserts.
Loved the fish kottu - interesting texture as it tasted like fried rice but instead of rice it had roti bis mixed throughout. Hoppers were ok - coconut flavour was good but goat curry didn’t really taste like goat. Didn’t really like the pink drinks tasted a bit artificial and syrupy
Wow! Such a flavour explosion, especially the lamb, beef and string hoppers. Very pleasant and efficient staff. Just a slightly inconvienient placing of our table in the back room, party of 5, only a minor thing tho. Recommended... WILL be back!
One of my favourite Sri Lankan restaurants. I would highly recommend the lamb curry, string hoppers, as well as the vegetarian biryani.
Mind blown. Vegan Curry and rice combo is simply one of the best tasting indian/sri Lankan combos ever! Even compared to meat dishes. Sago dessert is also crazy good.
