I've been looking forward to dining here for years and finally got the chance. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and seated. Unfortunately our table was situated right next to the door and it was a cold and windy Melbourne evening so it was rather uncomfortable.nThe food can't be faulted, though, and lived up to all the hype. The rib eye is to die for and cooked to perfection, and the pork ribs just fall off the bones. Don't forget to try the feta and mushroom entree and baked Camembert. Yummo!nI ordered baked potato as my side, only to be later informed they had run out. This was even more disappointing when I'd finished my meal and still saw meals coming out of the kitchen with baked potatoes.nSo some disappointments but some great food also.
Wonderful steaks. Cooked just how you order them. Good gravies and options of chips or salad. The dressings were nice also. Not cheap. You can easily spend $100 a meal including drinks. A little noisy but that is because they have customers. Pretty standard noise. Great for an occasion when looking for a great steak.
Honestly couldn't really fault this restaurant!the eye fillet was cooked for my liking and the grilled prawns were mouth watering..chips awesome Caesar salad maybe a little more dressing.we just all found the chairs too low for the table.felt like we needed to sit higher up to eat from the table.above all great place
An oldschool steakhouse sort of experience, but I really didn’t mind as the food was on point. The steaks had a great char, were tender and cooked exactly to the doneness ordered, and had good beefy flavour. Can’t really complain.nnSmaller details were looked after as well, e.g. bread was fresh and warm.nnWaitstaff were also absolutely fantastic. Friendly, accommodating, and when they discovered we had left a purse behind, were really quick to check the booking information and called us back right away before we even had time to leave the parking lot. Very impressed!
My family came here for a celebration dinner. We've been before and it seems to be hit or miss which isn't ideal for the price point considering there are many restaurants in the area.nWe ordered some ribs they were great, steaks at medium rare and medium well as well as a burger. All these came out undercooked and the whole table was uncomfortable knowing we'd have to speak up and the staff seemed really busy already. We ended up sending the medium-well back to be cooked further since it was rare but everyone else tolerated it.nI hadn't had a chance to touch my burger yet but when I cut it open it was blue inside, the whole table was disappointed and honestly gave up with our whole experience.nnIf they get your order right, it can be great! But I think this will be our final time, we don't want the additional hassle of trying to get our food right, taking away from the enjoyment of spending a night out with friends and family. We feel like at this price point we shouldn't have to have issues over 50% of the time.
