I went in there and it has a nice vibe. They have good customer service as they are very polite and while you wait they gave us free samples of brownies and caramel shortbread. Unfortunately though the wait time is quite long and for my my experience it was around 40 minutes which was acceptable due to it being quite busy. The food portions were pretty good other then the chips which were quite a small portion. Overall the food was very good the fish was well cooked, the chips were decently seasoned, and the squid almost had that perfect flavour and would nearly melt in your mouth. Solid 7/10
We got barramundi and one serve of chips and it was so fresh and delicious. It is pricey but the fish is fresh and they were generous portions. We saw them filleting the fish as well so I think you pay for what you get. We would recommend calling through first as well. There were a lot of people who ordered over the phone so we had to wait about 25 minutes
Very very very pricey. Grilled snapper with lemon pepper $25 tiny Hake shark and chips $18 Single serve salad $7 $50 for a meal for 2 that didn't go close to being satisfying ... I know all about over heads and cost of fish but this was over the top. The grilled piece was the most disappointing piece of fish I've ever been served. There was no need for a seperate box to display the tiny size. Sorry to be so harsh but I'm quiet disillusioned by the whole experience.
Good fish, although a little oily. Superb chips but a very small portion for six people. Although there was a clear lack of staff and the manager apologised for the wait. The manager was very patiently handling the teenage staff and the wait wasn't actually too bad. About 45 minutes on a busy night.
Took the family out for dinner and was served promptly by staff. The food however was not very good for the price of $80 as the fish tasted dirty and chips dry. Whilst waiting my daughter and I observed the staff and owner picking chips out of our order and the owner walking in and out of the kitchen barking orders at 3 probably school aged boys. No gloves were even used throughout the process. We won't be visiting them again. I'd rather cook my own fish and chips than shop here.
Best fish and chips I’ve ever had ! The fish was so tender and cooked to perfection and the chips were amazing. The manager was extremely down to earth. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming down south, absolutely incredible !! still amazed on how delicious the fish was
Awful. 3 young guys who couldn’t keep their hands out of the chip bowl fingers going in their mouths then back in the bowl. Eventually they put what chips were left with my fish and wrapped them up. Fish was already cooked and sitting in the basket above the fryer for 15 minutes before they decided to serve them up. Music was blasting out like at a nightclub couldn’t hear the guy who was serving me until they turned it down a bit. Wouldn’t go back there in a fit, sooner go hungry, needless to say everything was only warm at best. I know it’s difficult to find staff but you would be better off sacking them all, at least they couldn’t trash your reputation then.
Was very average for the price, serving sizes very small comparative to a good one I visit regularly in Perth. Snapper was badly cooked, not great at all. Squid rings were quite good, that was only redeeming quality. Overpriced for what it is, certainly not "gourmet"
We waited over an hour for what was a small order. To make matters worse the head chef was making jokes about everything being ‘2 minutes away. Many frustrated customers. Squid was tough. Chips were incredibly, soggy and overly salty - borderline inedible. They were both combined in a box and unfortunately did not compliment each other. Fish was ok for taste, but the portion size was tiny for the price and had some scales in. Tried calling three times to sort out with the restaurant and resorted to leaving a message.
If I could rate this place lower I would! Hands down the most expensive fish and chips in Australia I have ever seen for the most ridiculously small servings you could possibly imagine. The owner is nothing but an arrogant piece of S*@T. Told him his food was pathetic and he somehow thought he had the upper hand by telling us to try get dinner from some where else, that was the idea
