If i could give this place no stars that would be the first thing i do. I had been referred to go to this mechanic to get my subaru wrx tuned. I thought they would know what they are doing since they tune a lot of WRX'S but they definitely don't! i have had my car DYNO tuned by young Dan through them and a week later my car started having fuel cut issues. So i took the car back in and wanted Danny to tune it, and fix the issue, i was told i might need a 460 fuel pump and my current fuel pump was not enough, but the issue has been fixed for now. Same thing i picked up the car a week later the same thing happend. By this time my bill with Sandown Mechanical was $1300 in labour charges. i then went out and purchased exactly what he needed to get the car right, spent another $450 and supplied the parts. i had mentioned that i have water leak from near the turbo as well. After a couple of days he calls me saying we have a further issue. He had my car on the dyno with all the new parts in and still had the same issue. He then told me he needed new Coils, so i went out and supplied him the coils. After all this he tried charging me a further $1700 in Labour only, when he had told me it would cost a further $330 for the re tune, $100 for fiting the fuel pump, $300 to do the wiring for the pump. But then tried to rip me another $1000 to install a fuel pressure regulator. Anyway, after not agreeing to pay him the $1700 , we agreed for me to pay him $700 and he would get the car right, HIS WORDS ( i spent all this time on it i want to get the car right ) Its now day 3 and i only drove the car home from his workshop, - I Still have a water leak - i now have an engine light - the car doesn't idle properly and god knows what else. I would never ever recommend this workshop nor will i ever step a foot into this lying organisation!
