We first started getting advice from Spring Financial Group in 2014 and it was the worst decision we ever made. They advised we sell our investment properties that have now increased by 40% to instead buy a unit in super that they would have got a kick back from that has now decreased by 15%, so our super is now costing 20K per year to maintain the unit and not growing. Please avoid dealing with this company, have so many deals for kick backs they don't give correct advise.
I would avoid at all costs. I had a new advisor every year which implies there is high staff turnover. I felt very undervalued. They are eager to sell you products in which they get kick backs for and have no interest in your financial well-being. Spring has set me back financially by urging me to change super funds to one of the worst performing funds in Australia. They also ‘advised’ me to buy 2 off the plan properties which I cannot even refinance because the mortgage is worth more than the property itself. You would be better off reading ‘The barefoot investor’. Avoid.
Dealing with Spring Financial has been so positive and helped me sort my finances for the better. Their professionalism and advice has been beneficial in assisting me to make knowledgeable decisions for where I would like to be in the years ahead. I would definitely recommend to make an appointment and seek their help. They give you your options and explain everything thoroughly and then its up to you, this is what I like as I am not told what to do, the decision is left in my court with the tools they have given me. They are there every step of the way to help and make the process very easy and streamlined.
After some initial problems, we have now been allocated a wonderful adviser who has given us great advice. He responds to our queries quickly, sets up regular meetings with us and outlines things patiently and clearly so that we understand. We feel confident going forward with Spring, based on our current level of service. If we'd have had our current adviser from day one, I would have given them 5 stars.
This is my personal view and experience of SpringFG. All was fine when I moved my SMSF over to Moneytree, unfortunately when they were taken over by SpringFG performance of my SMSF slowed and declined. After concerns were raised about poor performance to no avail it was generally dismissed and was told it was fine but it was always well below industry funds and was never resolved to my satisfaction e.g. reviews only once a year I must admit I always followed the advice given, it proved to be a very costly exercise. I decided to closed by SMSF and transferred to a industry fund. After the decision was made to close the fund the National Head for Advice Team for SringFG contacted me to ask the reason why I was closing my SMSF this was the first time I had been contacted by senior management in my view too little too late hence it showed they are out of touch with what is happening with their clients. I had never received a questionnaire or customer survey which I found a little strange. I must say that the staff in their administration area are and were very helpful. I would recommend that you think once think twice and think thrice and seek interdependent advice before you get involve with SringFG
I have been with Spring for over 2 years now and they really have met all of my needs. The guys at Spring went out of their way to accommodate me and I have certainly been made to feel like an individual and important to their business. I would recommend them to anyone who is seeking assistance managing their finances.
I'm surprised there's no review's for these jokers yet. I had been with SpringFG for a few years. Ove the course of time I had been sold overpriced and poorly performing Superannuation; Which at the time they said they assessed all super providers for the best performing and best deal. Really it was only about who gave them the highest commission. They also on sold overly priced income protection and TBD Supposedly there was a discount involved because my super was through the same bunch - this was a 100% lie... I went through 3 account manager's in 2 years. Got contacted constantly by their call centre trying to sign me up as a new customer, and they were constantly tried to up-sell me on buying an investment property in Brisbane which is fair enough - but the commission structure was unusually high. All in all I should never have trusted their recommendations without doing a bit of research. They are smooth sellers and are offering a mediocre product - This is probably explains their current stock price. Outside of all of this they do have some smart guys in house and I had received a bit of good advise from some of the more senior guys but unfortunately it's a commission driven business so take every suggestion that will cost you money will earn them a commission which is fair - but just be aware they will try and sell you the most expensive product on the shelf.
My financial position has significantly improved with the assistance of Spring. They provide a professional financial service and importantly are not aligned to any particular financial products. This means that they can find the best option for your financial requirements.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They spruik property and cost me literally hundreds of thousands of dollars selling me a piece of junk when I was young that is still an allbatros around my neck. They will try to sell you a load of insurance you don't need, lie about tax savings to close a deal to meet their quota and will harass you to keep purchasing products. Don't meet them, don't trust them, don't use them. Check out their share price - gives you an indication of how bad they are. MICHAEL PELOSI IS A HIDDEOUS SALES MAN WHO COST MY THOUSANDS.
I have been dealing with Spring Financial for a little over a year now and have found them to be nothing but professional. Their advice has been very sound and extremely beneficial to my financial situation. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.
