I'm typically not a big reviewer, but this is a great eating option. Fresh ingredients, good quality, quick, and reasonably priced in an airport. I struggle to find healthy options when traveling but this works!!!
BEWARE!! My daughter and I were excited to find this salad place in the Midway airport in Chicago. But, I ordered a Chicken Asian salad and my daughter ordered a Caesar salad and they didn't have any parmesan cheese. Then, we get to the register and they charge us for a "Chicken" Caesar salad which we did not order. This place charges $3.95 for chicken on the salad. We told the girl at the register that the salad was supposed to be a Caesar salad with no chicken, she then asked us if you wanted this salad and wanted to charge us the $3.95 for it. We told her that we did not want that salad but they would have to make up a new one without the chicken. So the girl at the register said, well it's the same price as the Chicken Asian Salad, and proceeded to not take the "Chicken Caesar salad" off of the receipt, but just added an Asian with no meat, still charging me an extra $1.00 as the Caesar salad with no meat was actually only $7.59 and she charged me $9.99. Regardless, be careful of this place. They screwed up our order AND, charged me an extra $1.00 on top of it. We were late for our plane and didn't realize it until we got to the plane and saw what the girl at the register had done on our receipt. BEWARE!!
It'd get a full 5 stars if not for the most apathetic service I've ever seen in an airport. "Airport price" is fine when it's literally a pound of salad. As much as I am disappointed by the people, I've returned many times for the great food. I recommend building your own, especially if you're a cheesehead.
This was the worst experience I've had at any restaurant. There were only 3 people in front of me when I got in line. After 15 minutes it was finally my turn to order. The employee continued to disappear into the back of the store in the middle of taking and preparing orders. There seemed to be some kind of disagreement with other employees in the back. Another employee came out muttering about having "had it" and was going to leave. She proceeded to wipe off leftover food from the counter with her bare hands, then started touching utensils, bowls etc never washing her hands-gross. The first employee finally came back and took my order-- the epitome of rudeness too!! Barking at me. She finished mixing my salad and left again. The customer in front of me still hadn't paid. After 5 more minutes she paid and then it was my turn but everyone was in the back again. I walked off without my salad and of course didn't pay--my flight was boarding by that time. I lost my opportunity to go somewhere else to get lunch before my long flight--never again.
My "server" Shaquille was extremely rude. I waited to order while she ignored me. She then asked me what I wanted and I told her the custom salad. I've never been to sprigs so I told her what kind of lettuce I wanted. She quickly interrupted me saying "what five vegetables" As she was making my salad she said out loud to the cashier "I don't mind getting a write up today" the cashier wouldn't even look at me. All she said to me was "reciept". I'm in the restaurant industry so I know what's in like having to deal with needy/ rude customers but I was nothing but nice to her! You would think management would do something about the awful employees with all of these bad reviews about customer service.
If you have to eat a salad, then go here. The people are so nice -- especially Candace and Lauren! They made my really crappy day so much better with a few lettuce leaves and a little kindness. Goes a long way.
Can I use -0- stars? Azalia couldn't be more RUDE. I come here once a month and if she is there next time, I'll video to show you the epitome of "I hate my job, I hate people". I would be out of business if I hired people like her. $11 for a salad with a side of rude. BEWARE!
I do not bother with airport salads normally. Sprigs allows you to bring a generously sized, freshly tossed salad to you gate.
I wish I could enjoy how good my salad is, but I'm too bothered by how rude their employees are. Absolutely unacceptable service and no excuse for it.
Decent salad bar, prices are typical for airport restaurants.
