Northland In Focus Photography Competition

Story

The new-look Northland Shopping Centre will celebrate the arrival of Autumn Winter fashion with an innovative photographic competition targeting fashion and photographic enthusiasts alike.

Mission

The In Focus Photography Competition is a unique initiative designed to support Melbourne’s photographers by providing them with the opportunity to showcase their talent to the wider community.

The competition will be divided into four categories including celebrity/portrait, fashion/runway, street scene/landscape and student/emerging giving everyone the opportunity to submit their favourite photograph.

Northland Shopping Centre is calling on all photographers to enter the In Focus competition by submitting their photograph via the Northland Shopping Centre In Focus Facebook page.

The competition opens for entries on Monday 28 February through to Tuesday 15 March with the Top 5 finalists from each category announced on Thursday 17 March.

The Top 20 Finalists will form the In Focus Photography Exhibition which will be on display at Northland Shopping Centre from Monday 21 March to Sunday 3 April.

Shoppers will have to opportunity to vote for their favourite photograph via the In Focus Facebook page or in-centre at the Customer Service Desk. The photograph with the most votes will win the People’s Choice Award.
The overall winner will be selected by a panel of judges who will mark each photograph on criteria of creativity and originality, skill and quality. The winner will walk away with an amazing prize package to kick start or further their career.

All the shops without the long travel into the city! Parking space is always readily available, and the car wash here is also great been living in the north for 8 years now and have seen Northland SC grown and change. Definitely always improving!

Been many years since I was last at Northland, and to my surprise it has been updated extended and looked pretty good. It was very slow day so plenty of undercover parking and no crowding at all. Good selection of shops.
Love the single level has most shops youll need in one place, however its shocking to navigate, every part looks the same. This has been my local for nearly 2 years and I still get lost.

If i HAVE to go to a shopping centre i don't hate going here. Good range of shops and one level. Not too confusing of a layout.
Great shopping precinct north of Melbourne with all of the big-box retailers, along with a solid selection of specialty shops. Bright, modern and we'll managed.
