I finally went back there after all those decades !! Paddington station & this shop !! And off course ,I took pictures with Paddington ! But,forgot to do so w/ the statute of Paddington bear on the platform like I did before the old picture from the 80's has been lost ! !! I got a cotton tote bag of Paddington bear w/ the union jack. Also memo pads w/ magnets for fridges as souvenirs. I wish if I bought the coasters same prints as my tote bag !! I really really liked !! There were people constantly coming in the store ! Everyone looked very happy !! I just adore Paddington's cute face so much !! I highly recommend this shop to anyone ,young , or old ,doesn't matter !! Kids at heart !! Paddington always makes me smile !!!
A bit disappointing. Supposed to be the largest paddington bear shop but I found it so small and not very exciting. Made a trip to paddington specially to take a look at this place and was quite disappointed. Most of the items are made in China anyway so it’s not anything special. I also don’t like the new style look of paddington bear. I wish they had both at least, the new cartoon style and the classic style. I prefer the classic style. Didn’t manage to buy anything because I couldn’t find anything special. The shop is not so easy to find either because it’s inside the glassed area and the sign was blocked. I walked around and around , couldn’t find it until I asked a staff of the station. Even though I’m a paddington bear fan I was quite sad about the shop.
In my childhood memories the old Paddington's pop up book always comes to my mind. So visit this store was a must! A small lovely place that Paddington fans are going to love.
I visited the store and the cafe on the first floor. Both equally great experiences but I think there is a lack of ambience in the cafe. I feel light British/Peruvian music would add to the ambience and feel of this delightful place. It would probably make me spend more money as well!
Absolutely awful experience in this store today. Staff were rude & unhelpful & there was barely anything of interest to buy for my 3 year grandson - the shelves were almost empty & the staff seemed to be removing even more stock from the shelves & putting it in a store cupboard. There was loads of stationery, cushions, clothing, books & Christmas decorations but absolutey no soft toys. My grandson wanted a Paddington Bear soft toy to take home with him & we asked if there were any available to buy; only to be told curtly "no". We could see there was one soft toy clearly on view in the store cupboard & we asked if we could purchase it, only to be told no once again & that it wasn't for sale & that we'd have to look online. We looked online straight away to find the soft toy was out of stock which we told the sales assistant who just said 'that's not my problem'. So we left empty handed with a very upset & disappointed little boy - we won't be back. Absolutely disgusting customer service on all fronts - you should all be ashamed of yourselves.
The cafe is bad. Avoid it. Staff look very lost and even if there are more people behind the bar than customers, they still manage to get your order wrong, forget about your order or charge you the wrong amount. I nearly lost my train today because of them. Bring back EU staff!
I was very happy and excited to meet Paddington Bear
Small Paddington gift shop in the heart of Paddington Station. You can buy different kinds of the Paddington souvenir there.
Time, money and energy have been wasted on my way specifically to this store. Unfollowing the opening time suggested on Google map, the store closed earlier. After a tiring long journey, carrying a bunch of things, what I hoped is having the exact 10 minutes left to buy some gifts for friends as it’s quite possible especially on busy Saturday. However, as it’s said this store will always be open the next day, it doesn’t mean some people will have the second chance of visiting here. Such feelings are hardly understood. Btw, is there any other store that we can buy the Paddington bear instead of going to this one?
