Good service, people on board are very nice and helpful. Seats are pretty comfy although after so many hours you start needing a change of position and would love to lay down or something, I guess booking the recliners could be a good option but still 100% doable without them, specially if you are on a budget and want to save that money. Food on board is pretty cheap $12 pizza, $4,5 coffee, $7,5 burger
The Spirit is a good way to travel to and from Tasmania and bring your own vehicle and van. Friendly staff. Good cabins to sleep and arrive fresh either to Devonport or Geelong, where the new terminal makes loading and unloading easier.
Wonderful cruise! Quite organised in terms of boarding. Takes a while, but it’s quite a ship full of passengers and vehicles. Dining arrangements were a bit confusing as a first timer.
The staff were helpful, the boat is clean, plenty of signs to show you where to, organising the cars on and off works like clock works. The only bad thing I can say they need better mattress in their cabins and a roll as we had to hang for dear life when it was really rough.
On the way back to the mainland, we had a more luxurious cabin and really liked the comfort of the beds - slept like stones despite it being a day journey. Appreciated the complimentary bottle of Pinot Noir as well. The food options did not really get any better, but then again, we had snacks and slept most of the time anyway.
Such lovely friendly staff!! Super helpful in all aspects!! It was our daughters birthday and all staff who knew made her day, so a big Thank you to all!!!
Smooth boarding for wheelchair from car to lift, plenty of space in cabin for wheelchair, very helpful staff, while process from start to finish was excellent! Great trip mum loved it, seas were smoothe…..
New terminal is very nice. Getting to geelong is quite easy using the shuttle bus or taxi. Even walking is quite good
The place is run by bureaucrats, and some of the choices they make really hammer that home. Such as boarding at 4pm, so you end up buying dinner on board...
No cash payments accepted on board. Fully booked cabins . Recliner's comfortable. Rough seas , friendly staff.
