We were in and out in an hour. They piled four courses on our table all at once. The final course, desert was a tiny 2cm x 2 cm peice of turkish delight each. One mouthful! There was no mention that they didnt serve alcohol and were byo only on their website. No ice bucket for the bottle that we purchased elsewhere. We asked for music to give us a taste of Turkey and when we enquired the response was sorry it's not set up yet. The only saving grace that gave this place 1 star was the food was nice.
We had been wanting to try spin the spoon for some time and finally made it for our dinner last weekend. It was very busy but walking through the entry, we were greeted with warmth and excellent friendly service. We ordered the mixed grill platter supplemented with Baba Ganoush & turkish breads. Food was delicious and well presented. The Belly Dancer finished off our experience lovely. Overall a great experience and already looking forward to going back and trying something else from their large range of menu.
My wife and I went there last Friday evening using a Living Social voucher. The voucher entitled us to 5 courses. We had a choice of 2 dips with Turkish bread and 2 mains. The dips were great but the bread was magnificent! With the mains, it was mandatory to have the Vegetarian Pide and the Iskender and, from a limited choice with the voucher, we chose the Moussaka. I would not normally have chosen any of these so I was a little disappointed but they were all really tasty, especially the pide. The staff were very friendly and happy to chat. I plan to go back again and order from the menu without the restrictions of the voucher. I heartily recommend this restaurant.
Spin the spoon, a little Turkish restaurant in Milton. May be the best Turkish cuisine I have ever tasted. We ordered the mixed Grill share platter it was like a four course meal. First course was the turkish breads with dips and a delicious house pide which was made fresh with Turkish salami, feta cheese, mozzarella spinach and mushroom! Amazing! Then came a vegetarian platter with a delicious stuffed capsicum of pine nuts and beautiful Herbs and spices, vine leaves , falafel and veggie patties. The main, which came with chargrilled shish kebabslamb, chicken, kofta & lamb cutlets was absolutely moist and flavoured beautifully! Finally was dessert, Turkish delites and Turkish tea and coffees which came in little Turkish style cups and served with little sugar cubes, took me back to my childhood! We also ordered the baklava which was amazing! made by the owner on the premises! Not extremely sugary like they can be and melted in your mouth! Yum! We bought some more to take away. All in all the food was beautiful, generous serves and very reasonably priced with a lovely authentic atmosphere. This was more than just a meal, it was simple food made with love turned into a wonderful cultural experience! It's a hidden Gem!
Food quality wasn't good, we bought a coupon from Groupon that required booking that we missed but we reached there and presented the coupon at the counter to which they refused to serverestaurant was empty saying that booking is essential. We went to some other place that day and went back to Spin the spoon another dayonly because I had already bought the coupon food quality was not good at all, took them ages to cook too.
Finger Licking Delicious Food with Pocket Smiling affordable rates and a Foodie's dream environment to Dine In. So I would recommend everyone. Do go to Spin The Spoon, the best Turkish Restaurant in the town.
The motto is "Authentic Turkish Restaurant" However their Pides aren't authentic at all. A pide should have a: 1 Thin base 2 Finely chopped ingredients 3 Most importantly to be baked in an wood fired oven! Not mentioning that they constantly play tacky Ankara Havasi style music makes me not to stay there while waiting for the food.
I have just ordered via EatNow app. They charge 8$ for delivery though I live nearby. I received an SMS stating that they will deliver in more than 1hr and 20 min. this is too much to wait. I will wait for the food then modify me review to one star or three star but not sure about the four star because it's expensive and takes very long time to deliver.
Istanbul salad was fresh and tasty and great value in this overpriced street. Also lots of hot, crispy chips for the price. Nice atmosphere and excellent, friendly service.
Delicious and affordable food. Low prices as compare to other Turkish restaurants. Loved everything :-
