One word to describe this place is tasty!! Recommend to get the lamp chops, full of flavours and was cooked to perfection.
Me and my boyfriend just had dinner here and it was magnificent! The food was so delicious and authentic .. The spices and flavors were incredible. We are both vegetarians and love flavour and spice. It just gave us exactly what we were after! Delicious and authentic cuisine! We will be coming back :
I never been to Nepal or had Nepalese food so I didn’t have any expectations. The place itself is humble, much like the Nepalese people I met over the years. But the food is anything but humble, it is like a firework of spices and flavours! My absolute favourite was the lamb cutlets but I enjoyed everything and even the kids enjoyed the mild chicken curry. An overall great experience. Thank you guys, it was a long time ago food felt so exciting.
Highly recommend Spice of Himalaya. Waiting time was short. Service was great, with attentive and passionate staff. The food was the main star - we thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes. We thought it was very authentic and the portions were generous. Thanks for a memorable night out.
Do not come here, I am surprised they are still in business. Tried to order a main to which I was told it would not "be enough" why are you charging $18 for a meal that isn't even enough for one person? so I got the vegetable thali The only thing edible on that was the Naan and the fried vegetables. Everything else tasted awful or like it had been served from a can and heated up or originally came in powder form. That meal was $25 and the portions were stupidly small, even if the food was edible it was in no way worth $25 . Needs serious changes to the menu and management.
Never again, We ordered an entree and two mains and one side, and were told that’s not enough for two people, The entree was nice enough however one of the mains was inedible We noticed that other diners that arrived before our mains did not have their food even when we were leaving and we did spchat for sometime after our mains Service was terrible When it came to paying for the bill I questioned paying for a meal that we didn’t eat the lamb had blood veins in it, looked and tasted disgusting- lamb was tough as, I was told the manager said I’ have to pay, I asked to speak to the manager and the answer was no, he wouldn’t come out to talk to me, I said what about half price, and still the answer was no. Pretty sure the next order of this meal got ours. Was going back next week with 15-20 others but not now- their loss Our other main was ok but doubt the prawns were local even though it said local on the menu D Go elsewhere- spice garden in nightcliff is sooooooo much better and the service great
We were a group of four. We ordered "kukhura sandeko" which was not that good. It was priced at $16.50. The portion of the food was way too low comparing with its price. Then we had chicken momo. The momo was also priced high at $14 per plate which I have never seen anywhere. To my surprise it was good better than momo & more. Then for the main course we had garlic bread naan and Himalayan Royal Kukhura. The bread was alright. But the main disaster was the chicken curry. It was way too sweet. I felt like I was having the main course and desert at the same time. Did not like it at all. Hell!! we had to go to noodle house after that just to get rid of the horrible taste of the curry. So overall, we did not enjoy the experience. The food was bland and the price was way too high. My sincere advice to the owner. Dai, aati guliyo vayo k. I know that khaire harulai suit garna lai guliyo banako tara tyo ta khaire haru lai ni guliyo lagcha. I just want you guys to do good and promote nepali food. Aaba authentic vane pachi pure nepali taste nai banune ni.. Tyo memories of india ko kya ramro cha.,. Tyo haru ko bhitra interior ramro navaye pani food is really good. You guys have the advantage of being in the city where there are a lots of people. I hope you guys take this as a feedback not a gaali. I really hope that you guys do well. All the best
The best food in Darwin. I really recommend the thalis, the cottage cheese dish and the lamb curry. The lunches are really good values and delicious. The service is excellent. We keep going back.
Met by a very friendly waiter with a cold glass of water on a very warm day. Served a very tasty goat curry, lovely and tender, followed by a homemade icecream which was Indian-style and delicious. Top marks.
Very expensive, watery and tasteless and gave both myself and my dog diarrhoea. Also, they'll charge you more if you're not a local. Update: my dog and I still have diarrhoea three days later
