A scam. Called reception multiple times to ask for a glaucoma check (several different receptionists picked up, called multiple times to double check as not many optometrists have the equipment), and they said they had the equipment and could do the check. When I went to the appointment, they just did a normal checkup, and said they did not have the equipment and that in a couple of months they would receive it, wasting my time. Why did multiple receptionists say they had the equipment? As soon as you swipe your medicare card, they get the government subsidised payments. These guys are a bunch of profit driven losers. WOULD NOT VISIT AGAIN.

I made the journey from Wollongong NSW to Hurstville NSW to visit a very special person at Specsavers. People said I was crazy travelling that far when there were several stores locally. I was greeted by Matt and his team and my experience was a pleasurable one from start to finish. The whole store was buzzing and the amount of customers in the store was great to see. It took me back to the days where customer service really meant something. I highly recommend taking the trip near or far to the store situated inside the Westfield Shopping complex in Hurstville. Thank you Matt, Eric and the whole team "I will be back" and I will certainly spread the word. Rob B

I went to Hurstville store to ask if my glasses could be repaired after I had accidently dropped them. My fault entirely, however the staff were so friendly and helpful in fixing the problem. I was very happy with the service and would recommend Hurstville Specsavers to my friends.

First time I came there, I was very happy, I got "buy one get one free" and 25% discount, staff were very nice too. The next time, not that happy. Instead of two pairs, I only got one pair, and the frame wasn't even my first choice (the first choice I ordered was with extra-thin, they made my second choice frame with extra-thin lens instead). The staff (a woman who was not friendly at all) explains that if I got "buy one get one", I can't get the 25% discount, so they just went ahead and processed my order as an one-pair order without any clarification made to me. Instead of apologizing and making amendment, that staff said if I did want to get a second pair, I have to pay the difference between the original price and the discount price. They couldn't even pick out my first choice and asked me to look for it myself. It was two weeks ago, they even changed the placement of some glasses, if they couldn't even find it, how was I supposed to look for it? At the end the manager (who was actually a very nice guy) agreed to let me pick a frame and make another one pair for free (without extra-thin, naturally). But this still couldn't make up for their wrongdoings of changing order without any notification to customers and trying to let a customer pay for the mistakes they made.
