Thank- you Dr Ben for saving my tooth. You are the best dentist I've been too in years. Concerned how I was throughout the 2 hour produce. No pain, other than tender gums the next day. Can eat drink and be merry 👍. Thank you too for the call the next day from your friendly staff to see how I was feeling.

Just had a crown fitted and it was quick, painless and it looks great. Have been using SD for years, the work is exceptional and Ben is very professional, the staff too, they are very efficient and always have a smile for everyone. I would sincerely recommend them to anyone requiring dental work. Thanks SD.

Excellent - can't recommend highly enough ! Have been going here regularly for about 5 years and everyone there is always professional and friendly. Dr Ben is very good at what he does, and always puts me at ease

I can't compliment this practice enough on their caring professional attitude and manner.  I was a little apprehensive about the procedure which I had to have yesterday.  Everyone from the girls at reception, the dental nurse and of course the dentist himself were brilliant.  I certainly wont have any qualms about my next visit and I will most definitely be recommending  this practice to all my friends. Thank you so much everyone for making me feel 'special'. Suzie

I have been a loyal patient for 10 years so I was hesitant to write this review but came to the final decision to post it in order to warn existing and potential patients. 
In 2014, straight after removing my braces, I got a crown placed on my front tooth by Dr Edward Wu but he did not do a very good job. On the Southport Dental website, it clearly states that “an impression of your tooth will be taken by our dentist to ensure the shape, edges and colour are a ‘perfect’ match”. However after the crown placement, my retainers made right after removing braces no longer fit correctly, which means the crown that Dr Edward Wu placed, was not a perfect match and not 100% in line with the rest of my straightened teeth. After paying more than $7000 for orthodontic treatment in hopes of achieving a straighter smile, he ruined it because he couldn’t place the crown correctly. When I told him I was dissatisfied with the misalignment caused by the crown he told me, “it ‘looks’ straight so that’s the whole point”. 
On top of spending so much time and money on orthodontic work, I spent another $2000 for a less than perfect crown, and had to get new retainers which costs $400, all because Dr Wu did a bad job. 
I’m writing this review now in 2018 because I went back and saw Dr Ben Tseng, hoping that he will sympathise with me and understand from my point of view why I am unhappy with the crown but instead, he sided with Dr Edward Wu and agreed that there was nothing wrong. He urged me to go back to Dr Edward Wu about it, but if Dr Edward Wu didn’t do anything the first time I voiced my opinion, what makes you think he would do something about it now? 
I don’t know if it is a lack of attention to detail or if THIS is the best they can do, but if they cannot deliver “perfect”, they should not claim they can on their website- very misleading. 
This dental clinic has been my family dentist for more than 10 years, however my family and I can no longer trust the two doctors here. 
On a side note, if you have private health insurance, please personally check your policy and ask your private health insurer beforehand how much the benefit will be towards a procedure. The benefit for my procedure was incorrectly lowered. After checking with my insurer who confirmed that the clinics benefit amount was incorrect, they implored me to go back to the dentist and get the difference back, which I did, and it was given to me in cash. 
For me, they will now remain as untrustworthy dentists who made me feel suspicious about benefits and payments, and dentists who have little attention to detail and no empathy.
