I was at southland hospital for 10 days on surgery ward and experienced amazing care!! All the doctors and nurses are brilliant and work so hard, special mentions to Emily & ashleigh who I had the most in my time there, so much knowledge kindness and support. I had a hard time in there as wasn't allowed visitors due to covid. All staff I met in the surgical ward were a credit to the hospital from the people that deliver the food, clean your rooms and other supporting care staff thank you for making my time in hospital that bit more bearable.
I just spent 9 days in the surgical department of the Southland hospital and I am so impressed by the compassion empathy and care the Surgeon's Nurses Doctors and Staff showed me during my stay. It wasn't an easy surgery but the nurses made me feel so comfortable. The team at the Southland hospital are amazing humans and I am so very grateful for everything they did for my road to recovery
Nurse was talking about a patient in such a horrible way so the patient could hear. Without knowing prior issues and why she was on certain medications. This made the patient cry and feel horrible as the patient hasn't been well for more the a decade living in constant pain with a serious back injury that has been operated on and made worse and can no longer be reopened. I always have supported our health professionals but for them to judge and disrespect there patients is absolutely disgusting. I'm horrified. Worse part is if you knew the patient, you would know that they are such a kind sensitive soul, that's had a hard life. And today nurse you just kicked them once again while they were recovering from surgery they had an hour before hand. Learn from this !!!
Thank you to Dr Tozer & staff at ED dept for the wonderful care you gave our mother today, you were all amazing, you explained everything, in a very kind & caring manner, for which I can't thank you enough, you made a hard day a little easier. So from my Mum Alice & myself Trish, thank you
Excellent medical care on a late Monday evening, friendly staff, speedy admission at ED. Clean and quiet reception area, easy parking.
Excellent maternity unit. We had our second baby by c-section here and we couldn’t have been in better hands - brilliant and lovely midwives and doctors all around, and excellent facilities. Thanks so much!
Great experience! Had our second baby delivered in Invercargill via c-section and had a great experience. All nurses and doctors were very kind, professional and emphatic. Amenities we're great too. Really appreciated the mattress provided for dads staying overnight.
I wish to say a huge thank you for the wonderful care my Dad experienced at Kew when he was rushed there from Queenstown for surgery. The hospital staff, including the fabulous theatre staff, were calm, thorough, and skilled. Particular note of appreciation to Dr Mavis and her team. We were especially impressed because Dad was there on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Thank you
Recently I had occasion to be in the Nuclear Medicine department twice, 2 weeks apart. Both times I was met promptly and professionally by staff. Everything was explained clearly and questions were answered so that I could understand what was happening. The nurses and workers were and are an amazing group of people working under some very difficult conditions. I applauded them all as an extremely dedicated folk . Well done to you all. Thank you for your dedication and commitment. SIMON BRADLEY.
Worst ER ever!!!!! Took my 3 year old son on two different occasions at night during the weekend and waited for hours. We had to go home in the middle of the night not being seen by a doctor! We wouldn't be there if it didn't fall on during the weekend, otherwise we could have went to our GP! Evaluate your Triage because there is definitely wrong with it!
