It's a good fish and chip shop with a great selection of seafood, salads and packs as well. I do think it's slightly overpriced, but I guess location is why. It's convenient and right near the beach. I did find the service a bit meh - and the staff were just eating behind the counter while we waited for our order. I don't really want to see staff eating and packing the food simultaneously. Other than that, the food is quite nice, fish is really fresh and the chips were great.
Lovely grilled fish and octopus. We had their grilled pack which was $18.90 each and came with chips and salad. They're popular so we had to wait for like 15mins.
Amazing food and great service, prices were amazing and location is Beautiful. The employees are very well picked and there was this one 11-12 year old was very kind and welcoming!!! Highly reccomended. Vey good quality of food and very quick to get order.
If I could give zero, I would. Had lunch yesterday with my husband in this shop and expecting that we will enjoy the grilled seafood platter on the way we expected to be cooked. We requested to replace the fish to salmon and we paid for an extra which is fine. We specifically requested to cook the salmon to a medium cooked pinkish in the middle but when we started to eat the salmon it's raw and unable to sliced with the takeaway cutlery. The skin not cooked at all. I returned it back and requested a medium cooked but it was served overcooked. I have been watching the cook who's cooking all orders. She is definitely NO experience on how to cook fish such as salmon because she cooked the salmon meat down first into the pan instead of skin down first to get the crispy consistency of the skin and to get the medium cooked consistency as soon it flip the fish. But she ruined my appetite while watching her the way she cook the fish. I understand anywhere in hospitality now were experiencing staff shortage but at least to have a person making your food have an understanding and knowledge on how to cook a better food and meet the standards! What a waste of money and time. Not recommended this place and never return back because the issue and complaint did not executed to the best standards. What a shame!
Yumm my favourite fish and chip shop! It is a must visit every time I visit cronulla! Very fresh and made to order, I love their calamari! So soft and actually tastes like the ocean! Love how they have fresh/grilled seafood available too… always a treat!
Very great feed. My wife is ceoleiac and they were very accommodating knowing what food was gluten free. Extremely delicious! Well priced even with public holiday surcharge. Will be back!Food: 5/5
$26. One hour of hard labour... For what? Mediocrity at best? I bit into the chip to discover not warmth, but the heated remnants of frozen potatoes, texture; sub-par. In honesty, the 3 pieces of calamari were good as was the fish. But not good enough for $26. This.... Is not a purchase. EDIT: Apologies, you do speak some truth, for we did ask if we could also get fish in this combo bringing the total to $26. Bastardisation is what was done to my meal; bastardised by the quality. I am but a lay man, eating food with my lay taste buds, take my review as it is; an honest opinion.
I bought two John Dory fillets here to take home and cook on Monday - paid $37 for 600g which I didn’t mind doing as it’s typically a really quality fish. Once it was in the pan the fish released so much water the pan overflowed and when I finally ate it they tasted so fishy my wife and I just threw them out, really gross and surprised for John Dory. I’m guessing they were frozen overnight or something so make sure you check with them before buying “fresh” fish! Also - super weird customer service, there was 6 people working and they all ignored me until I moved from the fresh fish display counter to their designated ordering spot lol service and food so bad it’s offensive.
10% surcharge on public holidays meant you pay 22 bucks for 1 battered fish, a handful of chips, 1/6 lemon slice and a 20 cent piece size of tartare sauce - line out the door, staff slow to make orders and unorganized, 20 min wait to order and 40 min wait to receive food. Asked for extra chicken salt, received no chicken salt. If you cant handle public holidays just close the shop! Also watched the "owners brother" yell at a customer at the top of his lungs for no reason, and copped a right hook from her husband in return. Would return for the drama, should be popcorn on the menu, 10/10.
Convenient because it’s very close to the beach but food is average. Chips aren’t generously salted and battered fish had skin on which I’d prefer to not have. Generous size though.
