We went here about half past 4. It’s not so far from city center about 10mins walk! It is not crowded anymore. Its a free beach and there is shower to use after you swim for free also! Minimart are found everywhere so no need to bring much food if you think you will go hungry!
Charming place for walk and drink. It's very colorful and perfect for taking beautiful photos. Beach is sandy and equipped with showers but swimming area is quite small due to the boats.

This is a little, crowded and a little dirty beach loaded with ignorant tourists. There is a paid part and a much smaller free part. In reality this is a port with docks and lot of small ships and if you have a stomac you can squeez in yourself. There are restaurants, a mini supermarket too. You can not find a quiet, clean space on this sand beach to lay or swim. I recommend to search for another beach.
The place to swim if you are visiting Sorrento and want to use a public beach. We stayed nearby so it was really easy to get to in the morning a couple of times. We just piled our shirts/cover ups on the side and hopped in the water. It's not the cleanest water, it's not the prettiest marina, but it is a nice place to enjoy being in the water! It's also much better than the main Sorrento beach, and it did get sun for at least a few hours.
Tip for getting to the non-crowded FREE BEACH Walk down the footpath through all the restaurants and past all the beaches advertised as free they seem to still have a 3-4€ charge? heading west until you get to “soul and food” restaurant, just past this there is a wee door and steps down to a quiet, sandy spot under the pier with hardly any people, you can swim out into all the other ‘paid’ areas in the harbour as you please. No toilets, umbrellas or chairs etc however this will help you avoid all the people
Generally, I didn't like any beach around Naples area. The scenery, cleanliness, gastro offers, and conditions that they're in simply don't match the prices. Not to mention the public beach areas where taking a dive feels like risking an infection. If you need a refreshment, the water does it. That's all.
It with a heavy heart I review the only free and public beach to the best of my knowledge here in Sorrento. And while the beach chairs are lined up close and tight they are reasonably cheap. The water is a little oily, but is cool on the body. I really wish this beach was better. But most of all I really wish that there were less private beaches in the area. I don't min paying tourist taxes if needed, but the lack of accessible water to swim in during a heat wave is lacking in Sorrento. Use this beach if you can!
It is a marina, not a beach. It has a lovely sunset and lots of restaurants. However disappointing if you are looking to swim.
Beautiful public beach. The whole area has a really good vibe. There is no place to change clothes tho :/
