Eating here is a must. The neopolitan pizza was out of this world, probably my favourite thing here. The ham and cheese baguette was really fresh and had great textures. We loved the signature breakfast bun, it was satisfying tearing it apart. The food brews were just ok, I'll probably get hot coffees when we next return.
I have bought Sonoma bread from my local Woolies in Sydney so we were so excited to see this bakery cafe in Canberra. Coffee and bread all tasted great. We lined up for 5 min and we were quickly served for bread and grabbed takeaway coffee within 10 min.
Great location. Decent parking, recommened looking for parks when you are arpund 200-300m out from the Cafe. Very fast service, hot drinks took a little while but they were quite busy so I recommened ordering ahead on their website. More tables or bigger tabkes would be nice! We had to use 2 spare stools for all the food we had! Overall, great. With a few suggestions to make it better. Also note I can't remember what the sourdough thing was called, I checked their menu and the one captioned is what I think it is.
Good bakery! Sourdough so crunchy outside and fluffy inside. But the line is somehow tooooo long. I see staffs working so hard, maybe 1 or 2 extra staff will help.
Delicious pastry! The wait line is always super long but it's so worth it! Coffee was delicious and the pastry was so flakey

Sonoma is definitely a staple bakery of Canberra. Their pastries, especially the almond and original croissants are delicious, crispy and chewy! They had well thought out arrangements in place due to covid which was great to see. Will definitely visit again!
What’s happened to Sonoma? The bread is still delicious and the food generally is great but the service is surly and when I asked for them to toast my eggplant and ricotta roll they put it in the microwave! I can’t believe they did that to Sonoma bread, it was terrible.
I love this bakery cafe. They've got the best coffee and bread in Canberra and their food items are amazing too. And the service is always with a smile.
Great picturesque atmosphere. The Coffee is delicious and the bread is spectacular perfect in every way. The outside seating is nice and has a cosy vibe, inside seating can get about loud but it’s nicely air conditioned.
