I think this restaurant has definitely changed hands. I have been there twice before & had a wonderful dinning experience. Food & service were impeccable. Last night we went again my family & parent's in-law on the occasion of my birthday. We were all really looking forward to it. The entree's were straight out of the freezer section at Coles. Generally speaking, at an Italian restaurant, when you order mussels in tomato/white wine you are expecting fresh mussels in the shell. Mine were all in a pile with some canned creamy marinara style sauce dripped over them. The calamari was just out of a freezer bag. The main were OK, nothing to write home about & we had bought a small cake at a specialty store in the city for the adults & the children were to have ice-cream. When it was plated up, our server simply took a bottle of whipped cream the one that you shake up & press the nozzle down & just 'scribbled' it all over the cake. It was something a 5 year old child would do. Not a big deal but very unprofessional. Overall, I left disappointing that the restaurant I had told our guests about was such a glaring disappointment. After working in hospitality myself for 15 years I know everyone has a bad day & not everything is perfect but this was more than that. Yes, the mains were nice but overall, if indeed this restaurant has changed ownership & I believe they have they need to advertise that so that people can give them some slack & rebuild their business on their own terms rather than customers leaving completely dismayed. They also need to seriously pick up their game because the reputation they are trading on will quickly be destroyed.
We have been a regular patron for a long time - but never again. The food was fine and generous but the service was absolutely appalling and disgusting. Having to wait 7 mins at the front door to be seated then after half hour had to ask for a menu to look at - and then after each course they didn't clear the table until the next course came. Waitresses English was dreadful and couldn't understand what she was saying. POOR POOR POOR service - we will never return. Its a shame as we like supporting local and family owned businesses but this was bad - and to top it off, it was a very special birthday for me - very disappointing.
Ordered delivery pizza. Worst pizza I've had in well over 10 years. The pizza dough tasted frozen and reheated - maybe the whole pizza was. The pepperoni tasted past it's best/ like acid. Such a disappointment.
We purchased a groupon deal and it was a ripoff we got half the size of other customers meal
