What a beautiful experience. I will definitely be back when I visit Brisbane again. The staff were lovely, everything was clean, there was relaxing music playing and all of the different facilities were wonderful. I left feeling very zen ‍ Thank you!
Exceptional! A wonderful place to indulge in some self love. From the moment you enter there is a calm and sensual feeling of pure relaxation and peace. The Soak Bathhouse has a variety of minerals spas including a 34 degree indoor pool that accommodates up to 14 people - an outdoor spa pool of similar size, two smaller 36 degree spas Heaven , a 12.5 degree cold plunge, A divine steam room and of course a Sauna. As of April 2024, A weekday soak is $49 for 1.5 hours to wind down and relax. Or a current special is the early bird soak which will set you back $35 for 1 hour between 6:30am - 9:30am -Monday to Friday.nIf your feeling like a little extra you time is on the cards then in addition to the Soak, a massage may be just what you need. There is a relaxation massage or deep tissue. I highly recommend them both! I was blessed to have the incredible Deb - A truly beautiful soul, such a vibe and she's got magic hands.nSince my first visit I have been hooked and frequent as much as possible. This place is so amazing and a must do. This place can get quite a crowd. Depending on the day and time it varies. I went mid morning around the start of December and found myself amongst 2 large groups celebrating their Christmas parties which meant sharing a spa with 5 others and a full steam room. I still enjoyed myself but it was not as much as my previous visit when there were no more than 6 people in total.nI recently treated my relatives to a spa day here with smiles all round. There are lockers to place your belongings whilst soaking. It's recommended not to shower after the soak to allow the minerals to work there magic however there are showers with lovely Sukin body wash and change rooms available. There is also Sun Lounges if desired and as an added bonus a variety of teas to calm the mind.nI love love love the Soak bathhouse therefore I rate it 5 Stars. The popularity is expected and although when it's super busy the pools/spas/ steam room/ sauna are crowded this is simply a reflection of how great it is. Enjoy!
A few things I enjoyed about Soak Bathhouse:n- booking online was easy and I also like that they hold off on charging your card until you arrive. They also ask if you’d like to pay with a different card upon arrival. These small details are nice especially when the unexpected happens, you made a mistake with the card, ect so having options after making a booking adds convenience to the experience.n- The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We spoke with Brittany hey girl! and she was lovely. She kept the intro short and sweet which is what I like. I want to go in, relax and leave with no hassle, no push to buy extras or long spiels and that’s exactly what we got!n- Everything was well kept and clean the entire time. I particularly get grossed out with bathrooms and change rooms especially in pool facilities. I usually come across hair all over the walls and floors and dirt tracked into the damp floor and so on but not at SOAK. I felt comfortable using the facilities and they maintained cleanliness by the pools by tidying up the seating areas and clearing any left over cups or debris left by guests.n- We were able to enjoy the whole experience without ever feeling like we had to wait around to use a certain pool or sauna, and the temperatures were a perfect mix of warm, hot and of course the icy cold plunge! I particularly loved the sauna, it was the perfect temperature and I felt like I could actually breath in there as opposed to others that have you gasping for air after 3 minutes.n- They also had a section near the entrance where you could pour yourself a nice hot tea with a lovely range of flavours I think I went with vanilla chai and it was delicious, the perfect way to end a cold plunge btw! They also had still and sparking water on tap which was nice for when we got a little steamy and needed to rehydrate.n- The addition of magnesium in the covered pool was a nice addition to the entire experience as it helped us go a little deeper into relaxation and kept that sense of calm going for the rest of the day.nThere are so many other little details that made SOAK bathhouse stand out from other spas and I truly feel as though I got my money’s worth and more. The 90 minute time frame was perfect, as I feel like 60 minutes just isn’t quite enough so duration was also a bonus here. We went in on a Wednesday at 1:15pm which turned out perfect considering there were only a few other small groups there. It was nice to have tubs to ourselves sometimes and helped elevate the entire experience. It’s common for facilities like these to get overpacked but that wasn’t the case here although I haven’t been during a busier time over the weekend.nOverall my experience at SOAK in Mermaid Beach was more than what I expected it to be in the best way and exactly what I needed that day. ‍‍nAlso! They have online gift cards that you can purchase and an email goes right to the recipient the convenience of it all ‍. I purchased one the other day for my house mate and I feel good knowing that she’ll be well taken care.nThank you Soak Bathhouse for an exceptional experience and I’m sure you’ll see me again soon!
Really nice spot to relax with great facilities, it’s really nicely fitted out and you wouldn’t know it was next to the hwy. One small issue was some small insects in the indoor pool, I get it it’s indoor/outdoor but I see people clean the floor but a little check of the pools wouldn’t go a miss ; They kept bobbing around. The filter must have not been doing its job.
I was lucky to have a lovely experience of there only being 2 other couples at any one time during my 90mins until the end and we'll forget the rowdy Insta wannabes that were motor mouths for my last 30mins. I was on a high so they werent ruining my wellbeing and relaxing. Monday night is a great time to go and such lovely staff, prestine amenities and pools. Can't fault it. Would visit every trip all the way from New Zealand. Thanks team.
