Lunch 16/04/22 Great spot and beautiful atmosphere where we were sitting really tranquil. The dip and bread was delicious but didn’t care for the calamari or arancini. Outdoor tables could use a really good clean covered in sticky residue/marks.  Great that it’s dog friendly!

Excellent place for dinner or small events; food is first-class and the setting in the centre of Eltham Town square is quite nice and convenient. The restaurant itself has seating for ~40 or so inside with more seating outdoors. Service is friendly and the drinks/wine list nicely balances the food items.

Delicious food, nice tasting coffee though cap was lacking foam, great service.  We have only been twice, but both times we have been genuinely delighted by the food. Pictured here is the open Falafel souvlaki, the pumpkin on Turkish bread, and the calamari small plate. All absolutely delicious. They main components are excellent, and they really know how to make great side salad!  Vegetarian options: Yes, we loved the falafel open souvlaki.  Kid-friendliness: Friendly vibe and nice outside tables.  Parking: Lots of undercover parking very nearby at Woolies.  Wheelchair accessibility: A very easily wheelchair accessible venue

I have been to Small plates few times and their food and service is outstanding. Service is very friendly and I highly recommend them. Small plate is a very good example of how a local business should be and I am happy to dine there more often.Food: 5/5

Loved the intimate and cozy setting. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We had the calamari entree, which was our favorite. We also tried the meat platter to share. The menu said it was good for 2-3 people, but $79 that was really just good for 1 hungry person, or 2 very small feeders, unfortunately was not good value for us. The flavour was there, and so was the presentation, but it just didn't deliver on value. We would probably go again but for coffee and dessert only, rather than a full meal.

Small Plates has the loveliest staff and each dish we ordered was fantastic! We especially loved the homemade dips and the coconut prawns. We can’t wait to go back to try everything else!

Lovely customer service, amazing food mushrooms especially were my favourite Very well priced and really good lay out of the restaurant, good music at a good volume too! My partner and I will definitely be back! Left there extremely happy!!!!

I’ve been coming to small plates for a while now, and I have to say it is the best cafe/restaurant I have found in the Eltham area. Fantastic staff, beautiful building, good prices and delicious food. If you’re in eltham, you have to try small plates out. There eggs Benny is to die forFood: 5/5

Great service and a nice location, but the food was underwhelming. $30 for the Open Souvlaki was unreasonable. The meat was quite dry, had a handful of chips, and the salad was unremarkable. It was ok and I may give it a second chance, but won't be going back in a hurry.
