Opted for a V day experience and a good dining experience overall. Selling point is the sunset views during the dining experience. Scallops were battered and paired with pulled pork wrapped in pastry. Wasn't a fan of the Scallops but the pork made up for it. Beef Wellington had a lot of potential, good flavour profile overall. However, beef was overdone. Desert was okay. Staff attentive but gave you plenty of breathing space.
For a restaurant that is fine dining, it feels very dated in terms of food and service. More like a fine dining experience you'd get somewhere 20 to 30 years ago, not in 2023. Some of the food was cold such as the quail leg entrees. But the mains were fairly nice. Service was average but acceptable, had multiple people come ask about drinks in quick succession. Views are fantastic of the ocean, hills, and city, depending on which table you get, snd the windows side table did feel very nice. Overall, would recommend going to a more modern fine dining place if you can, unless you stay at the Rydges hotel and don't want to leave that night.
The skyline restaurant is located inside the Rydges South Park Adelaide Hotel on level 6. Inside the Adelaide city, not hard to find parking around. Beautiful view while dining. Depending on the season, Sunset can be seen there. If the timing is right, you can enjoy the day and night view while having the same dinner.
Food was great, view was great too! Got a window seat for a later booking, staff were very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend as an interstate traveller.Food: 5/5
Waitstaff on our table was very attentive, from the moment we walked in apologies can't remember her name she made us feel very welcomed. Staff was informative on wines, able to explain the region and recommendations on pairing with food. Food was well artistically plated by the kitchen team, quality and taste was also on point Worth the visit and dining experince, well done on Rydges food and beverage department.
A nice restaurant with great view, particularly at evening to see sunset. Delicious seafood platter with good choice of wines. Friendly staff with good service.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Skyline Restaurant and was blown away by the high level of the food and the live music. The three-course meal was expertly prepared and presented, and each dish was a true delight to eat. The joy of live music added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening, making it a truly memorable dining experience. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was lively and inviting. I highly recommend the Skyline Restaurant for anyone looking for a special night out with great food and live music.
Had the pleasure of Xmas lunch. Myself and my family were totally blown away. The food, staff and atmosphere was a 10 out of 10 and more. Value for money, outstanding! I look forward to booking us in for Xmas 2023
Skyline has unfortunately fallen from the heavens back to earth with a thud. No longer can I recommend it to others I've eaten there over many years. I recently had two celebrations within a couple of days there and each meal disappointed. The service was still friendly and attentive, but the execution of the menu items was just not consistent. Not all meals arrived at the table together so there were some awkward moments for a few guests. The food is overpriced. Worst of all, I suffered a nasty case of food poisoning after eating the beef burger. Looks can be deceiving. Go elsewhere if you have a special occasion.
We had dinner with my friends. The food was perfectly done, and the staff were friendly. Zoe was very professional and courteous. I highly recommend this place. Great view
