Story

We’re a bit of an everyman/woman’s pub – that classic inner-suburban pub with a healthy local clientele smack bang in the middle of the High street. Booth dining, a great beer garden, a sports bar and 1st floor function spaces provide a space to suit any type. Unobtrusive, reasonably priced, quick and friendly service and we welcome group bookings any day of the week.

Can’t go wrong with some well-executed pub grub and a big screen for the latest big games.

Our funny pub moniker is a nod to the historical roots of the place – which was
originally named the Greyhound Hotel and licensed by a successful greyhound breeder
– James Bennet in 1873.

Food good. Service really good. Friendly and efficient staff happy to make a recommendation and follow through with care. Good pub food with interesting specials
Massive parmi, great service and good pricing and atmosphere, overall good time.
Food is okay, not bad by any means, just basic pub grub. The parmas are overrated and don't have alot of flavour, they are just big, so people bang on about em. Great atmosphere and service. Go for a beer and dart in the outdoor area at the back but not for a meal.

Great place to hang out with your mates or kids. I went to watch the ANZAC day match and see the Pies dominate the Dons and the staff were helpful and food and drinks reasonably priced and quality. Check out the size of the Parma! Fed my three kids and a free pot for me, for $20 that’s amazing!
Great pub for catching up with mates. Very clean, friendly staff. Lots of space. Good menu range and the beer is cold. Be sure to book. You'll have a great time.
Visited here the other night for a Parma and was so impressed with the service. Our waitress Perri was so friendly and happy to give us recommendations. Will definitely come again.
The skinny dog chicken wings are back, and better than ever. Charlie, our server, for the evening looked after us very well suggesting drinks for happy hour and generally being a great host. It is good to see people out and about again.
Worst steak sandwich I've eaten in my life. Staff aren't much better.
