Dinner 9/8/22 The food was ok but not especially notable, just basic pub meals. I made a mistake of getting a risotto at a pub. Good reviews of the steaks though. Staff were friendly and hard working on a pretty busy weeknight
Daniyeru's Detailed Review: Start of Service 5/5 *The staff that greeted us are friendly and polite, professional as well. I did catch one Waiter roll their eyes when noone could hear / claim for a coffee order in our big group, in terms of that, probdbly best not to roll your eyes and keep it behind closed doors not out in the open. Still, we are all human, so not marking any points down for this given the group size, numbers of people and the order! Food 5/5 *Steak was cooked great, portion was very generous and was soft and delicious! *Burger was also massive which came with fries as well to make you even fuller, I ordered a double patty not knowimg how big it was gonna be, boy, I had a big stomach after! Wasn't mind blowing, nor bad, but extremely good int erms of value and size. Great for a pub burger. *Salmon was cooked to perfection, mum absolutely raved on and on about it and wants to come back. What needs more comments? Great! Value 5/5 *The size and value for all the dishes across the menu was extremely well priced and generously portioned. Please don't change! Very affordable, noone will leave hungry! Atmosphere 5/5 *Pub style, clean, modern and well themed. Mostly senior that dine here/tradie type/function but anyone can come here! End of Service 5/5 *Staff regularly came to clear dishes, refill jugs, always a staff presence which is very very good and were not over the top or under. Well done!
Great local, two massive TV screens to watch the footy with a few more smaller ones scattered to the side. Lots of beers on tap staples of Carlton dry and draught, food is decent and staff is friendly.
Stumbled in for a quick bite, ended up with the "small bites" special, which was anything but small, with a side of kipflers. All this washed down with a blizzardly cold pale ale. A great place for a a very tasty and we'll prepared meal. Would recommend
Hosted a private event here a while back. They were fantastic. Menu options were clear and tasty - a good mix of fancy options and familiar favourites. The staff on the night were friendly and present, even sent us home with leftover food! Everything was smooth and simple, and the private space was fantastic. All accessible and had a private bathroom and can be entered without going through the main pub. Have been going to the venue relatively regularly since, and the food and drinks have been consistently good and staff have always been great. I only wish sometimes that it were a little less popular out of my own selfishness, but it's well deserved.
My husband and I had dinner here tonight. The food was delicious as usual. Assorted dumplings, wedges, and Angus beef sliders.
“Average” meal with above average price. Staff were friendly and hard working, but there is nothing social about this pub. If you are pushing $40 mains at a local pub, you need to offer above average experience. Good for large groups, but the out the front smoking section and Pokies takes away any elegance that is being sort.
I arrived from a 90 minutes drive to find I had turned up on the wrong day to meet friends. The lovely manager shouted me a wine - I was very very touched - there are good and thoughtful people in the world. I ordered the pork schnitzel with apple coleslaw. It was HUGE - I can’t believe anyone could ever finish it - it was a bit boring though even with the delicious slaw. I’ll try something else next time. Because that manager has earned my loyalty
Food was good but a little on the high side for pub food.
The food is fantastic and the portions are big. Can highly recommend the mushroom risotto, seafood linguine and Greek lamb salad. It’s a really nice venue and great place to pop in for a drink.
