Been in Budgewoi 3 years, and tried this place for the first time last night. We got Fillet Steak Chinese Style -- meat was very soft; Boneless Chicken with Lemon Sauce -- the large chicken pieces were very moist; and Vegetarian Delight -- big pieces of crispy just-cooked-enough veges. All very generous servings. Also, I asked for a boiled rice, but when I got home I found I’d been given fried rice. I was a bit amused by this. I’m guessing he just heard me say “rice”, and saw I was non-Asian, and his brain went: “fried rice for him”.
We arrived during closing time, but the service was very good. The food arrived quick and tasted good too. Recommended - Honey Chicken
Sorry to say, but the worst Chinese I've ever had! Spaghetti on top of chow mein instead of separate crispy noodles. All dishes were drowning in thick disgusting brown sauce and full of MSG! Such a shame and an absolute waste of $$$$
Ordered home delivery last night. Was delivered in under an hour for a Fri night. Steaming hot all 3 meals. Absolutely delicious food. Fresh and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be a return customer. If I had to say anything negative it would be the beef is a little chewy in the combination meal I got. Maybe work on that and it would be perfection.
This is a great little restaurant and the food is great on every occasion for me. Their Chow Meins are great and we are working our way through the menu. The Chicken with Ginger and Shallots is sensational. Being a local and having this quality food is awesome and it takes 5 minutes at best to go and pick it up. I am not sure what people expect for home delivery as you can’t expect quality of this style of food from Wok to front door , even if they try and give you their best estimate. Highly recommend
Exceptionally good tasting food. Well prepared and good portion sizes. They do an excellent honey chicken which is usually hit and miss depending on where you go. Well done
Ordered Quite a bit of food from here tonight. The food was pretty average and I found a piece of metal what I assume came from a scourer in my meal. The restaurant brought me a replacement meal as compensation. The food was still very average. Honey chicken has barely any honey sauce on it. Won't be ordering from here again.
Never felt the need to do a review on a meal I’ve eaten but but I’d definitely say this was the worst Chinese I’ve ever come across with the sweet and sour pork being very dry, over cooked and half filled with vegetables, The special fried rice being dry and burnt and to top it off the Mongolian lamb having next to no flavour. Also the prices were a lot pricier than other places I’ve been too
The lemon chicken was delicious but the rice tasted like it had a cup of salt in it. I tossed it out after a spoonful which I spat out. Fried rice never is salted, use soy sauce instead. Ruined my meal.
Got delivery the honey chicken flavor less and dry!! spring rolls were hard, the fried rice was really nice and the beef and oyster sauce was nice. But won't be buying again....
