We visited with clents from China and experienced fine food and fantastic service. Highly recommend. Thanks guys.
Authentic cantonese cuisine. Friendly staff. Specialties include; Peeking Duck, Chicken in an edible Basket of potatoes, eggplant hotpot- but tell them not to make the eggplant too spicy. Silky apple dessert of a toffee covered apple made at your table. A Melbourne institution
Always love the food. The seafood dishes are all very fresh and cooked to perfection. The dim sum is also great. Friendly staff who recognise you after a visit or two and remember our favorites.
Great restaurant. Yum cha fabulous. Slow service at first but picked up. We missed the custard tarts.
love the place, trust me you would enjoy all the food also, try it out sometimes. They got lovely bouquet of tissue flowers!
Having not unreasonable expectations, the silky apple failed to deliver. The first criticism. Being fully licensed, no Campari. Secondly. No specials. The whole episode felt average, tired and pedestrian. Would I go back, no, there are many better options
Good food, dour service, traditional decor
Sweet and sour pork is good, but every other dish I've ordered from Silky Apple has been below average. Especially the thai chilli prawns $35 They were so over cooked they tasted like flour. If I hadn't ordered take away I would have sent them back, instead they went in the bin.
We had a banquet B for dinner, all the food was great and the staff friendly and helpful.
