The worst massage experience of my life. Very unpleasant and very uncomfortable. Suspect I just got unlucky with the masseuse.
Nice and clean little massage shop, availability is a challenge due to the size and massage experience varied on staff to staff members.
One of the best places to get a deep tissue massage. The place is clean and the staff is professional. I have been going to this place for a couple of years now. A bit pricy but worth spending money. However, the strange thing and possibly the disappointment is that they do not have Private Health Rebate available which is kind of strange.
They’re back!! I had one of my best massages at Silk today. I’ve been going there for years. The last year saw a bit of turnover and inconsistency, but the owners have acted on the feedback and turned things around. All new staff excellent, a full refresh including new linen. Already booked my next massage.
Went today for a quick 30 minute foot massage to trial the place. The atmosphere of the place is really good for relaxing as the lighting and music is soothing. Only issue would be that whilst I was getting my foot massage with my friend they were chatting heaps in their language and I'm pretty sure they were talking about us as I saw them pointing. Massage was nice though. May book again but do a completely separate experience so they can't communicate with one another.
Do yourself a favour and don't go!!!! Very disappointing, we were told the price for a Thai Massage was $59.00 each for my husband and my self, we paid before the massage. And had our 2 stamps on my discount card. We both went to our separate rooms and waited 15 mins before the girl came in and told me we have been told the wrong price and that I have to pay an extra $10 each= $20.00. I asked her if I could please pay the additional $20 after my massage as I was half dressed. She told me no that I must pay now!!!!!!!!! I decided to get dressed again to go to the desk and pay, then we decided not to bother about the massage, they did give me my money back, but then asked for my discount card to cross of the stamps, I gave the card to them and told them to keep it, as we will never go back to that place again. My husband and I have been going to Silk Thai Massage at Concord for the last 5 years at least once a month. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Do yourself a favour and don't go.
New owners and new therapists, AVOID! This was by far the worst massage I have ever had. I was half way through my 4th loyalty card buy 10, get 1 free, so I am not just a blow in. It became apparent early that the new therapist had little experience. She didn't seem to know where muscles actually run along the body, so was just pushing oil around. It felt as though she had watched one YouTube tutorial and then had at it. With a deep tissue massage, having an unskilled therapist is dangerous, my calves have been cramping days after the fact. She also spent the last 5 minutes of the time massaging my stomach? There was just no depth to the massage, the whole thing left my completely dissatisfied and wishing I hadn't booked 90 minutes. Attention to detail/pampering feel was woeful. Below was my previous review which was 5/5. If anyone knows where the women who used to work here have gone, please leave a note in a comment or review as I will never return here even with a half complete loyalty card. Pre-September Review before Ownership change: "Have been going here for over two years, always great. Street noise can sometimes be a problem."
I visited Silk Thai Massage with a lower back pain and had a deep tissue massage. I have to say the service and the quality of the massage was amazing. Great atmosphere and I walked out feeling very relaxed. Highly recommend.
I used to go here all of the time but since the renovation a few months ago I’ve had two massages and both were disappointing. I found that the firm pressure was not applied in a way to undo the knots, but did leave me very sore for several days thereafter. The massages left me worse off than where I started! Sadly will not be going back.
