The Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Divine Mercy is situated between Koah and Mareeba. It consists of a small chapel and a monastery built on the edge of a lake and surrounded by extensive gardens. It is run by the Pauline Fathers of the order of St Paul the first hermit. The Shrine is open to all wanting to pray and to those wanting to spend time in the peaceful and idyllic surrounds of the gardens. Mass is celebrated daily by Fr Andrew Dembicki OSPPE who is usually available either before or after Mass for confession and private counselling. Please refer to the Catholic Diocese of Cairns Website for more information about Devotions held on the 1st and 4th Saturdays and for other events. Definitely worth regular visits by the whole family.
