LOVE this place! What an awesome building with so many original historic features maintained, even with a recent renovation. Right on the beachfront at the quieter end of The Strand near The Fort. So it has great views from the upper deck, as well as the lower ground level tables.nnThe menu is largely shared plates so it can be quite pricey to sample a few choices, but you can take your leftovers home and I ended up with two good sized meals for the price of one!nnThe service was very good, prompt, professional, couldn’t fault it.nnWill I go back? Oh yeh!! This could become a fave haunt, just wish I lived in Townsville!!
Shorehouse is a gem on the Strand. The food was absolutely amazing, with every dish crafted to perfection. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made sure every detail of our dining experience was taken care of. But the real highlight? The cocktails—absolutely to die for! Whether you're after a relaxed dinner or a night out with drinks, Shorehouse delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!
Service, interior design and atmosphere great!! However after multiple recommendations here the food was 4/5. Found the cake used in dessert stale/cold and flavour balance was not quite right. I can handle salt but the main meal sodium profile was a bit overpowering. Would return for the good times but less so as a foodie
Food, service and ambience are all amazing! We love everything that we ordered. Highly recommended if you are looking for something different and worth your money!
I’ve visited several times and enjoy doing so.nBeautiful, quiet space and location. Great gluten free options. A little on the expensive side I feel, for cocktails and food my husband and I spent close to $250 on one occasion for dinner, and we only had 3 drinks between us.nHave been other times for just cocktails and/or snacks.nOverall, it’s a great spot with great food and great service.
