Always love heading to Handmade and the first market back didn’t disappoint. Great community of passionate makers and creators and always something new and fun to buy. Time your visit around when you’re hungry and there’s a tasty range of food options so you can grab lunch or a quick snack. One of Canberra’s and Australia’s best Markets in my opinion.
Handmade Canberra offers a well curated line-up of artisan stalls, as well as gourmet food and beverage. When you talk to the makers, you learn more about the story behind the product, you can feel the passion in everything they do. It is a pleasure for the eyes - and a feast for all senses. I would advise you plan sufficient time to browse all the well presented aisles, shopping handmade home and garden deco, jewellery, clothes, accessories. Head to the last hall to taste - and purchase - chocolate, Italian cannoli or French macarons, small batch alcoholic or non-alcoholic spirits and Australian native syrups! The location is great, with plenty of car space + the tram nearby which makes it easy. Definitely an event not to be missed!
These are the best markets by far in Canberra. Everything is hand made and high quality. It’s spaced out well indoors and easy to get around. The stall holders are friendly and attentive. Allow yourself half a day to explore all the wonderful items on offer. Highly recommend!
Handmade Canberra is ahhhhhhh-mazing! Both from a buyers and a sellers point of view. The events are so beautifully curated and run with absolute military precision, ensuring fun, quality and simplicity all round. They are absolute champions for Australian Made makers too. Love em!
This market is big! Lots of craft as well as high end stuff. Well curated, with varied makers, old favourites and new sellers. Good venue and well laid out. Great atmosphere and staff. Suggest your get there early or wait until around 1.30 when crowds start to thin.
