Finding the right running shoe is not always easy in a small country like NZ. Shoe Science has one of the best selections of road shoes and running gear, and a reasonable trail selection too. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. This would be one of the first shops I would recommend any runner looking for new gear visits.

The owner (Mike) spent more than an hour with me, trying out multiple different shoes, examining my running stride/cadence etc with all the different pairs of shoes and barefoot. Gave me 10+ tips on my running form. Super passionate guy, lovely personality, genuine, caring and super knowledgeable + 30 day money back guarantee! Will never go anywhere else again, and recommend everyone to check them out. He also said I could come back whenever to re-evaluate my form as I progress through my training! Absolute gem.

Great service, spent over an hour helping me with my decision on shoes. Great community hub for runners too with weekly runs from the store. Five stars doesn't do the place justice.

Highly recommended. Mike was so informative over the phone as well as in the store. He knows his stuff. We learned alot about foot shapes. Carried out a balance and treadmill test. As a result I bought the right shoes for my feet. He made it so easy! We'll be back for sure!
