Loved the gelato! Got the matcha mochi ice cream and the flavour is super strong - which I loved! Also had the lychee sorbet - refreshing. They also have special flavours like matcha kitkat. Great range of onigiri flavours. Get there early so u don’t need to wait too long
One of my favourite places for Japanese dessert! The warabi mochi and daifuku are our absolute favourites - so many flavours and done really really well. I finally had their strawberry matcha over the weekend and it was phenomenal. Love their onigiris as well - the one with ramen egg inside is my go-to. I honestly drive to Southport just to have Shiro - and it's always worth it.nnMy only recommendation would be more seats to eat in.
This place is such a vibe! The icecream wrapped in mochi was soooo good and the variety of flavours makes it so hard to pick one but trust that you can’t go wrong! We got Hojicha Oreo and Matcha and wow the flavours are intense, rich and yummy! Can’t wait to go back and try all the others now. The staff are also so cute, dynamic and engaging! They truly look like they’re having so much fun and create such an enjoyable atmosphere!

I had to work hard to find this place, but the reward in the end was worth it nnThe Google Maps location pin for Shiro was in the wrong place, taking me to the back of the block rather than the front. Even when I got to the right street I kept missing the shopfront because I was looking for the name, only realising later that the shop sign is only a logo with no words.nnAnyways I eventually found it and we decided on a hojicha Oreo gelato $7 with the daifuku mochi wrap option +$1. This was skilfully made into a spherical shape that was just the right size to fit in the cup.nnWifey thought the hojicha flavour was one of the best she's had, and we enjoyed the pairing with the mochi to give it a different texture and add some playfulness.nnWe stayed a while at one of the few tables available to enjoy our dessert and soak up some of the Japanese vibes from the shop. Whilst I can now get similar items closer to home in Brisbane I feel it's still worth visiting the OG mochi gelato for south east Queensland if you get the chance. I'll be back the next time I'm in the Southport area to try their onigiri and probably more gelato.nnNB. I've since updated the Google Maps listing so you should be able to find it more easily than I
