Such a hidden gem of onigiri in this Japanese ice cream shop. So many onigiri flavours offered. Tori tama and spicy Tori tama are very good. Lots of chicken inside and half Japanese egg with runny yolk. These are very tasty. Love the onigiri combo deal. Warabi mochi are very fresh. Soft and elastic, exactly how it should be. Very traditional Japanese texture and flavors. Matcha and hojicha strawberry ice cream are OK, matcha and hojicha flavour not very strong. Yuzu and Hokkaido ice cream are very good. Hojicha latte is really good, they also serve with mochi, which is completely different flavor too. Very nice little mochi. Card surcharge applied. Limited seating indoor and outdoor. Staff are very friendly. Very convenient with tram, plenty of parking nearby.
We were looking for dessert and came across this hidden gem in Chinatown. Lovely staff and delicious daifuku ice cream. Uji matcha gelato is delicious and the Hokkaido gelato is creamy. If this shop is in Melbourne, there will be a long queue outside the store.
Came here tonight for dessert. Just a cute little spot with good vibes. The staff there are super sweet and very attentive to customers. I couldn’t decide on flavours so they said I could sample before making my choice. Which it’s super nice as I was torn on what to get. I ended up getting the miso caramel flavour. It was delicious!!! A must try for caramel lovers. I would go there again next time I’m in Southport. I got a sticker too
Loved the gelato! Got the matcha mochi ice cream and the flavour is super strong - which I loved! Also had the lychee sorbet - refreshing. They also have special flavours like matcha kitkat. Great range of onigiri flavours. Get there early so u don’t need to wait too long
One of my favourite places for Japanese dessert! The warabi mochi and daifuku are our absolute favourites - so many flavours and done really really well. I finally had their strawberry matcha over the weekend and it was phenomenal. Love their onigiris as well - the one with ramen egg inside is my go-to. I honestly drive to Southport just to have Shiro - and it's always worth it.nnMy only recommendation would be more seats to eat in.
