Had a very disappointing experience here last Friday. I was there for a friend's birthday. After ordering our drinks, we were told there was no coconut milk which was part of the orders. The lamb filo pastry was ordered which came out incomplete and it was mostly pastry. Two girls ordered nachos and some time after paying and waiting for the order, the waiter came out to say they had no nachos. It was offered to replace the order with anything on the menu, though most options were cheaper and the difference in price was not provided as a refund. Two club sandwiches were ordered. After waiting for lunch and mess around, a hair was found in half of the sandwich. No offer for refund or sincere apology was given. It was brought to the attention of the waiter, but couldn't seem to care less. This was the poorest standard of service I've experienced in a Brisbane cafe. We will never return.
Worst breakfast I've ever had in the world! Service was crap! Food was appalling and over priced! To be honest i wasn't expecting too much because it's a franchise. I ordered a "big" breakfast with hash browns and poached eggs.. the eggs were cooked solid. When I asked for the poached eggs to be done again she told me they were poached and rudely said "so what did you want". The hashrowns were half the size of my palms, soggy and cost an extra $3 each. There was about 2 mushrooms and some supposedly blistered tomatoes but they were cold and raw to go with it.. The food was like a 5 year old cooking for the first time.. wish I could attach photos Would not recommend coming here, ruined my Saturday morning in Brisbane!
New York Club was very good, as was Bacon and Eggs. Large coffee cup size absolute rip off for $5.20. More staff on than customers whilst we were there. Dreary, lifeless space, absolutely no atmosphere.
Thank you very much to the owners and staff at the Bulimba Shingle Inn, just had lunch with my mum and a couple of family members. Great service, clean and tidy, a nice place to spend the afternoon. Well priced and food was delicious. I had the smashed Avocado, great size serve washed down with a yummy Chia Latte. Thank you will be back very soon.
disappointed by the size of the all day breakfast & the service of one of the girls that I firsted approached and asked a question about the menu, she just came off rude and unhelpful. We both had eggs benedict, the ham was super thin and the bread was alright but thy could chose a nicer one . Pretty average meal that you could probably make something better at home. if your gonna get a hashbrown just know it's small as and you have to add it to the meal. I've had a burger from here before and it was allgood and the chips are nice so dunno what's up with the breakfast meals but they need some attention
This was definitely the worst breakfast we have ever had. The eggs were cold, not 'waiting on all the other food to be ready and go cold' cold, NO, they were FRIDGE cold!!! There was 4 of us. We all ordered sour dough with mashed avo and feta the smallest little crumble. Two had scrambled and two had poached eggs and one had a side of the thinest tiniest sliver of haloumi i had ever seen. And 4 not nice coffees to add to this. The waitress however, was extremely lovely and utterly embarrassed. She explained that they were 'training staff' which we realised this with he coffee barista, as we witnessed this. But apparently it was the same in the kitchen as well. After we called her over, she then saw the manager, who said they had 'gone cold' whilst waiting for the 'others' to cook. I picked my scramble eggs up, put them in her hand and said, please, take them this, these are fridge cold, she embarrassingly agreed. All 4 meals, scrambled and poached were cold as!. Plus, the Avo was brown grey for two and a half serves. My niece and I got the old stuff, and my sister got half old an half bright fresh and new, and my nephew got all green and fresh. It truly was atrocious!!! Sorry!! But as I said, the waitress was lovely, and she did give us 4 coffee vouchers two of us live hours out of town and probably should of pushed to get our money back, as it was not cheap either!!, and they did offer to 're cook' our meals, however we said a they are clearly 'pre done' in the fridge, so thanks.. but no thanks, and also we had to leave, we were only there for a quick break, and quick it was!!
Ordered soy matcha and dirty chai lattes. They got the order wrong after a 10 min wait there are 3 other people here. Then they gave us lightly flavoured soy milk. Should have read the reviews before coming in lol
I must be blind. But I went in here today and the experience was better than going to coffee club? If someone can explain to me why this only has 2 stars I'd be more than happy to listen.
Good size quality burgers! The best chips I've had in a long time good deals and very friendly staff
If you burn the toast, throw it in the bin and cook another piece rather than serving it dry snd burnt then hiding it under the ham on the eggs Benedict. Pathetic really
