Shelly Beach Cafe Take Away

I hate to do bad reviews as I really hoped this place would be something special, but unfortunately poor staff communication left me without lunch after the rest of my table had eaten. I did ask more than once and was assured it was on its way but after 40 mins I was only offered to have some one start cooking it now or a refund. What was served looked nice but I was unable to review my dish. Coffee was nice though

The staff here are good and give excellent service. Friendly, prompt, knowledgeable. First time here from Melbourne and loved this very good "cafe". Actually restaurant quality here with interesting menu. I had the vegetarian tacos which were awesome for a light lunch suggested by the waiter. Wine menu is small but well put together. I had excellent help finding the wine to suit my palate after not drinking for some time. Great suggestion by the floor manager. On top of all of this is the amazing view of the ocean. What a location!! Looking forward to next time. Highly recommended.

We booked ahead of our visit to Ballina but I was disappointed that we were given a table with an obstructed view at least my view It was a cold & busy morning, so we were grateful to be indoors at least. The food was delicious & well presented & the service was very good We definitely recommend this cafe and look forward to our return visit.

Excellent place with an exceptional view. However service was slow and for a simple order they made two mistakes! I know it was crowded but not really much compared to the size of the cafe ...

The food was TO DIE FOR!!! If I was on death row and I was asked what my final meal would be, I’d say one of everything from the Shelly Beach Cafe menu… it was just that good. This chef really knows how to cook, and I don’t have any complaints about paying that little extra for quality food like this. Parking: We had to park across the road and walk to the cafe, but the walk wasn't far and there are plenty of car spaces, it's just that the day we were there was the Christmas holiday period with lots of visitors to the area. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat ramped area all the way from the car park to the restaurant. The tables are well spread apart as well.

We stumbled upon this gem & so glad we did. Great vibe, friendly staff, great coffee & food. The views are amazing, you can't get any closer to the beach unless you were ON the beach.Food: 4/5

Great little cafe on Shelly Beach. Great coffee, and the grilled halloumi tacos were very filling. We could of done 1 between the 2 of us!!!! Great staff, always friendly and inviting

Great location, friendly service, dog friendly. The Thai Scramble eggs was delicious! Excellent coffee.

Had a wonderful breakfast. Views are amazing of Shelly Beach. Loved it so much that we had to come for an afternoon coffee. We had the most delicious Pear cake I have ever had. We were able to eat inside as it was a little windy. It was great to have the option of eating in or outside. Could still watch the waves from our seat. A lovely cafe in a unique setting.
