I am a vegetarian. I only buy there vegetarian dumplings. They were sometimes not great but mostly good and sometimes very good. Last Thursday we had a takeout and my usual meal had a little strange taste to it. To mu horror I found a small part of chicken feet in my meal, with a claw. Why? Did they boiled them in a chicken brew? Why? I thought a vegetarian meal should be vegetarian. Needless to say, they lost a customer.
Thought this place would be a nice little spot to have lunch after a long day of shopping. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The food was underwhelming. The pan fried dumplings were drenched in oil and the plate had a circular oil ring which indicated it was dumped onto the plate straight from the pan. Given the amount of oil the dumplings had no flavour, not sure how they achieved this. The fried rice was under cooked. We tried the fried ice cream and it tasted very bad. The service was poor as well. Never going back.
Good food - try the golden eggplant or the twice-cooked pork, or any of the extensive range of dumplings. There’s a tea menu too, if that’s your bag. Decor is nice enough but not what you’d call plush. Staff are all very friendly but be prepared to grab their attention. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly
Food was tasty. Price was reasonable. The only issue we had was our order got lost in the process. We were waiting for 20 minutes only for the server to come back and ask for our order again. Staff was polite and courteous.
First and last time I will ever enter this place. I’m the MOST POSITIVE PERSON ON THE PLANET… I felt physically sick when I left. The hot sour soup was dissgussstinggg… like a bowl of gravy with tofu floats, inedible… then came the papaya salad… the sauce was saturating the dish… I had to let it drip to even eat it… service was awful… so bad…. I cannot believe this place is still running… I have run a restaurant with 19 staff so I do know what I’m talking about… U actually had to buy a coffee elsewhere to get the taste out of my mouth….. managers …. Change your attitude to customers, staffing, food … learn how to serve!
Very disappointed as I have previously had mostly good experiences here. I was looking forward to some fried rice and my husband drove down to get a takeaway for me. The rice was stale and there were chunks that were so hard that they were inedible. I ended up putting the rice in the bin. Don’t think I will go back.
Great spot to grab dim sum. Very clean and nicely decorated. The dim sum, dumplings and pork buns are among my favourite menu items. A little bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. The only downside is there is sometimes a bit of a wait for your food to arrive. @bikingtogetfood
Nothing special on the fried squid. Xiao long bao is alright. Fried rice is ok.
Exceptional food, brilliant service!
Bought takeaway tonight, 21 oct. Disappointing. S&P squid was just batter deepfry, no salt and pepper flavour. The plum duck was dry and not much flavour. There was nothing chinese about the mix veg salad, could have made at home. Was costly, $75. Prob won't go there again. Parking: Carpark out front, few spare spots but was 6.30pm
