This picture is a reference for people who have high expectations after reading the reviews. Went there for first time, never going back again. Watery, tasteless curry. With oil dripping all over the takeaway box and carry bag. Terrible experience.

Had takeaway from here last nice, curries were delicious. Husband had the Goat curry Medium and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was hot, tasty, plenty of meat and the Naan was fresh and delicious too. Very happy thanks

Even though there was noone else there it took a while to wait for the food. The chicken was dry after being grilled and put in sauce which didn't help the dry chewy nature of the meat. The flavours were intensely beautiful with the light fluffy Nan bread was very tastyFood: 4/5

John was an awesome host! Food was great! We had the chilli chicken, aloo naan, tandoori platter all was cooked to perfection will be our go to from now on, compliments to the chef and John waiter

Food was good. Flies were the problem. We spent our entire time there swatting them away. Service was pleasant but slow. No one came when we finished our meals. We had to find them to pay! What made it more maddening was that we were the only customers!

Not the greatest curry house, wife's beef curry was full of gristle and fat which put her off, and was very sick the next day. Platter was quite small considering the price, on a positive note the curry I had was quite tasty.

Being a regular at one of the other Indian establishments in Pukekohe it took me a while to try this place but I’ve been coming here a lot lately and it safe to say it’s my new go to. Delicious and consistent. Entrees and mains.

In a plethora of Indian Restaurants, it is difficult to stand out however thats was exactly my experience at Shalimar. There is a unique blend of indian and indo-chinese dishes to choose from. I'd tried the desi chicken, albeit a bit spicy i would definitely recommend it. It was a pleasant surprise to discover that each curry was unique and based off of different ingredients. Cool place to stopover if your headed back into Auckland.

First time trying this place, but must say their customer service was exceptional! Not only the food was delicious, but the person delivering said he forgot something in order, and this amazing human being went all the way back and brought the missing items and on top of that gave us complimentary curry! Understand how hard it is been for business since COVID but this place has set a great example that humanity and honesty is still alive and delivered great food! We will be their regular customers
