My husband and I have been here twice. The first time we had nachos and loaded wedges, which were really good. No complaints at all. We went with some friends a few weeks later and two of us ordered burger, I the chicken burger and my friend a hamburger with the lot. Firstly, the "burgers" had slices of toast instead of burger buns. I thought maybe they had run out of burger buns, but no, that is how they do their burgers we asked. Secondly, my burger/sandwich was very underwhelming. As a chicken sandwich it would have been average, as a chicken burger it was pathetic. My friend's burger with the lot did not come with beetroot or pineapple, and the egg was runny. Adding an egg to a standard hamburger does not classify as "the lot". This visit was disappointing.
Homey atmosphere, great customer service, so many Home-cooked items to choose from, wanting relax need to be here, just try it.
Had a superb lunch there today. Did not think to take a photo. Usually I want the food in my belly..AND they had a toilet a disabled person could use. The staff were friendly and fantastic. Thank you for a terrific meal. I had their caesar salad and my companion had their beef salad.
Really disappointing. Five of us dined in and the highlight of the experience was the ham and cheese toasted sandwiches. As mentioned in multiple other reviews from others below - the chicken ‘burgers’ were just not nice in the slightest. Two bits of toast no buns in sight, really not a burger, bit of shredded lettuce, tomato and an extremely over processed bit of chicken that is almost ‘mush’. The chips were nice but no salt/sauce/seasoning. I ordered almond milk in my hot drink to soon discover it was full cream cows milk so I only had half. Naturally as someone who doesn’t have full cream milk due to lactose issues it made me quite unwell shortly after. The girl who served us was nice. Staff get the star. Unfortunately we wouldn’t be back.
Amazing food great staff very friendly
I was recommended this restaurant by a friend. When we arrived we were seated at a table and had a couple of menus dumped on the table in front of us with very little effort to be welcoming. The decor is if a very basic standard and reflected the down market prices on the menu. I didn't expect a lot but was very disappointed with the chicken burger that I was served. It consisted of a generous portion of nicely cooked show string fries, they were the highlight of the meal. There was a minimal amount of lettuce and tomato in the burger which was actually toasted plain white bread spread with a bland insipid tasting margarine. The greatest disappointment was the actual chicken if you could call it that. It was simply an oversized , over processed chicken nugget. As much as it was only about thirteen dollars for the meal I expected better than something less refined than a burger from a large fast food chain. I must say that the coffee was very good and the premises was immaculately clean. I was also requested to provide my name and phone number for Covid-19 tracing, something that no other food establishment has asked me before so full marks there. Unfortunately I must say that I am very unlikely to call in again.
Had lunch here today with family, booking was for 12.30, arrived 12.35, most meals were good, but not alot of options available as was no fish left, option on menu no vegetables available with our hot meals, only salad. Wasn't impressed with jacket potato dish, also we were ASKED if we would like another coffee at 1.45, so we ordered coffee and cake, was served 5 minutes later then staff came and told us we are closed now, which was 2pm, so that only gave us 10 minutes to have coffee and cake, so we had to rush the coffee and cake down so fast as they were turning lights off while we where still sitting in cafe, why ask a customer if they would like another coffee if your not going to give them time to drink it. Was not impressed at all
Have had several meals, very tasty. Today it was coffee and cake fo $8. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff! Affordable lunches and at the moment winter are open late on a Thursday for dinner!
I don't usually leave reviews but the food was really, really bad Nachos were just doritos with some kind of tomato jam and heaps of cheese... Cakes looked good and the staff were fine. I guess if you want white bread and chips you might like it. Definitely not a good place for vegetarians
Always enjoy a good snack here. Coffee great, staff friendly. Always great
