ShadeFx brings you shade with style. ShadeFx is a local family owned Townsville business. We all live in Townsville and understand how harsh living in the tropics through summer can be.

Our aim at ShadeFx is to make your home cooler in summer and more comfortable for you and your family by providing you with beautiful, functional window coverings that reflect your personal style.

Mark and Kellie Townsend are the owners of ShadeFx. Mark, a licensed builder with over 30 years experience, guarantees a professional installation of all our products.

Our design team has 15 years combined experience in the shutter, awning and window covering industry. We are like your fashion consultants for shade; we will guide you through our range of products, helping you choose the products that best suit your needs.

Mark and Kel...you have no idea how delighted Judie and I are that we engaged Shadefx to supply and fit all of our window furnishings and more for our new home at Haven, Townsville.  From contemporary transition blinds in bedrooms to exquisite plantation shutters and eclectic elegant strand curtains and the zip blinds and pool umbrella, the positive reaction of so many people is testament to the and outstanding professionalism of your team and products.  Your corporate culture of service and support above and beyond client expectations was also as stand out. Oh and competitive pricing...wow...our budget came in at less than half it would have, had we dealt with a competitor.  We cannot thank you enough, what an outstanding company!

Mark and Kelly are very helpful, their range is really modern and fairly priced for the top quality.

Poor communication, no after sales service, product did not fit as initially measured and attempted several times to bill for goods that were under warranty. Would not recommend, and would definitely not use again - moved the remainder of the contract to another local business >$10K. Not very good promotion for supporting local business and don't really seem to know what they are doing.

When I first moved to Townsville, I thought I had found the perfect place to live, except that the kitchen window blinds were either missing and/or broken. Luckily, I got in touch with Mark and and guys at ShadeFX who were able to help me out with selecting the right type of blind for the job. Because of this, I would be more than happy to recommend them to anyone in the Townsville region!
