The environment is much more comfortable after the renovation. The reception staff were very friendly, and after taking a number, I only had to wait a short while before it was my turn. Ben, the staff member who served me, was very friendly and patient in helping me, even making several phone calls to resolve my issue. It's different from other Service NSW. I've been here several times and will definitely come again.
If possible, I want to give zero star. I am giving five stars to the reception staff at the entrance. They were very patient, answered my questions, checked my documents, and even guided me on how to print them. Their service was excellent.nnHowever, I wouldn’t give any star to some of the staff over the counter. One young lady, in particular, had a terrible attitude. She didn’t seem to be there to provide service but rather acted as if she were the boss. It seems that she was not familiar with NSW state policies and procedures. She looked down on people and even told me, “You should leave now, I need to serve other people.” As a result, I had to queue up again, which wasted a lot of my time.nnFortunately, I was eventually helped by an older lady who assisted me in completing the process. However, this experience left me very disappointed with the service quality. I hope the staff can improve their attitude and provide better service in the future.
Wrong decision, poor checking, and unprofessional behaviournnI wish if there is an option to give 0 ratings. I had a very frustrating experience at Service NSW Marrickville. I arrived more than 20 minutes before my scheduled test time 1:20 pm. The instructor advised that my night driving hours were less than 20, which was incorrect. He stated, “Give me 2 minutes, let me see what I can do.” After approximately 9 minutes, I was called back and informed that “Unfortunately, I cannot take your test today.” This decision was made without a proper and timely review of my logbook. I later recounted my night driving hours, which were fully compliant with the 20-hour requirement. The initial assessment was therefore inaccurate. Had my logbook been checked correctly at the start, this situation and loss of appointment time would have been avoided. When I politely requested to speak with a manager, I was directed to do so. However, the issue was not addressed appropriately, and the situation remained unresolved. This was his mistake, not mine. When I politely explained that my hours were completed and asked him to recheck, he suddenly agreed — but then said it was “too late” to proceed because it was 1:25 pm, even though the delay was caused entirely by his own incorrect checking. Because of this careless and resistant behaviour, my test was cancelled and my time was completely wasted. This was extremely unprofessional and unfair. A simple and accurate review of my logbook would have avoided the issue.nVery disappointing experience. Staff need proper training to check logbooks carefully and take responsibility for their own errors instead of penalising customers. They love wasting peoples time and money.
Very impressed with my service here today. I was served by Binay who was super professional and polite, turning around two of my requests thoroughly and rapidly. I was in and out of the centre within 30 minutes.nnThe new facilities are also amazing, everything is pristine and high tech, making for an even nicer experience.nnMy only note for improvement is that the location still shows as ground floor, which I think hasn’t been updated from the previous location in the other side of the centre. Would be great to update this to avoid any confusion with navigation.
I went there to update my phone number and a tall man at the entrance didn’t get the chance to know his name helped me so kindly and quickly! The whole process took me less than five minutes, very thankful for his service!! My favourite service nsw centre ‍
