My experience with the service at Serendib for the buffet was quite poor. I contacted them on Instagram to ask at what age they start charging for kids, and they said it was from 3-12 years old.nnWhen we arrived, I asked my husband to go pay for our meal. He mentioned that our daughter was 2 years old, but they told him that kids are half-price regardless of age, so he paid for her. I then went to the counter to show them the Instagram conversation, and they refunded us.nnAt the hoppers station, although the food was fresh and delicious, I noticed that the server was bringing hoppers to other customers at their tables. I asked if he could do the same for us, but he said they don't normally do that. When I questioned why he did it for other customers, he couldn't provide a clear answer.nnI ended up waiting for my hoppers while he served fresh ones to other customers. When it was finally my turn, he left them for me to collect, but other customers took them. He insisted that I had to wait there for a new batch, even though he was delivering fresh ones to others.nnOverall, I found the service to be very inconsistent and felt discriminated against. The buffet selection was limited, and the food was just okay. We don't plan on returning.
Such a steal for $25 all you can eat AYCE Sri Lankan buffet. It was my first time to try Sri Lankan cuisine and will certainly won’t be the last. I had hoppers and other dishes - chicken curry, coconut paratha and even bread and fries too. It was worth it given the spread and it comes with drinks too.
We were there on Friday night for their dinner buffet. Food was very authentic and extremely delicious. Very friendly staffs and they were very accommodating to our needs. The desserts were superb. The hoppers were made fresh and served as much we needed. Extremely happy with their food and service. Very rare to get a good Sri Lankan Sinhala cuisine like Serendib.
$30 a person all u can eat authentic Sri Lankan food. With hoppers on Fri to the weekend. Def worth it with the yummy variety of food and curries.nThere are a lot of tables so can cater for bigger groups.

The food looked tasty and authentic, though it wasn't as spicy as traditional Sri Lankan dishes. If you're into super spicy food, this might not be your spot, but it's still a must-try place.nnDuring my visit, I noticed fewer customers from the subcontinent, probably due to the milder spice level. However, the place was buzzing with customers at dinner time, and all tables were occupied. Despite the crowd, the staff was efficient, making sure the food remained hot and fresh.nnOverall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend giving it a try.
