Editing after a few visits. Korean Fried Chicken - Kfc & Silken Tofu hot pot is good but the accompanying rice is low quality & takes away the flavour of hot pot soup! Bubbling boiling silken tofu with seafood & mushroom is good for pax 2 in the colder months plus the Kfc. Crispy coated chicken with sweet spicy sauce that is one of the best i have had. Ttukbaegi i.e the claypot size is larger here too. Place is always packed so book ahead.nnCons: Side accompanying banchan could be a lot better - apart from the usual kimchi & pickled radish, 3rd is just pasta & 4th very fiery cut green chlli. The bowl of rice is a let down. Wish they offered proper korean purple/black rice, happy to pay extra if on menu.nnService is good but needs prompting. Clean place but do not offer a bowl of water to rinse hands. Ample free flask of tea. Parking is tight - try side streets or Ashy train station park nearby.
Really good meal. We had the boneless grilled beef rib, spicy ox tail soup and soy garlic fried chicken. Everything was good, but the beef rib was the standout. Super tender, full of flavour and cooked really well. Would definitely come back for that again
Absolutely delicious Korean food with very friendly service.nnThe rice cakes with sausages were perfectly cooked. The rice cake was slightly charred and had a great chew whilst the sausages were very flavoursome.nnOx bone broth was also great. Just need to season with salt and pepper to your taste. The beef slices were extremely tender.nnFried chicken was crispy and tender and served with a nice honey mustard sauce.nnWas very busy on a Saturday night so may need a booking. Looking forward to going back already.
The beef tasted like authentic Korean food. The bone soup was flavoursome, comforting and soothing. The pancake was crispy. The fried chicken was decent, but it did not really stand out.
The food here was good, but we were very disappointed by the lack of menu transparency and the management's response to our concerns. Our pescetarian friend ordered the silken tofu seafood soup, assuming it was seafood-based as listed. However, we discovered it contained pork broth, which was not disclosed on the menu. When we brought this to the manager's attention, they were not understanding and instead blamed us for not asking beforehand. Under Australian Consumer Law, it is the restaurant's responsibility to provide accurate descriptions that do not mislead. We hope they update their menu to clearly label meat-based broths for those with dietary requirements
