i love seasidennThe Best Hostel for Long-Term GuestsnnThis is probably the best hostel for a certain type of traveler, especially long-term guests, who all seem satisfied here. The atmosphere is great—everyone is always smiling, friendly, and easy to approach. The staff are incredibly friendly; they are never grumpy and genuinely go out of their way to help.nnYes, it is unavoidably a bit dirty, but they are constantly working on maintenance and renovations, which shows they genuinely care about improving the guest experience.nnRecommendation: I do not recommend it for short stays, but I highly recommend it for long-term stays.nnWould you like me to translate another review or help you find information about hostels in a specific city?
If you’re planning to stay long term and do your 3 or 6 months I highly recommend choosing Seaside.nThe managers have been making many renovations to make your stay more enjoyable.nPeople are friendly and easygoing, everyone’s going through the same things so it’s easy to make connections.nI’ll carry the best memories of my time there
I stayed here for around 10 days. It has been a great hostel. Staffs were super friendly and helpful every time I asked for help. The rooms and common areas were maintained clean. It is located close to the downtown and coles so it was easy to get around. I would highly recommend this hostel for working holiday makers coming to Townsville.
I stayed here for a couple of weeks, very clean and well kept after. The owners work really hard, and are in the midst of doing renovations. They are very accommodating and easy to address if there are any issues. The only thing I’d say is, the exit door is really heavy, so if you are in a room near to there it could wake you up through the night slamming shut. But otherwise the hostel is very clean and has everything you could need, in a very good location.
Woken up at 7am on a Saturday morning by construction in the common area next to my dorm room. Room and bathroom semi clean. Given a towel which was good! Loud Techno music played outside until early hours of the morning. Close to Cole’s which is good, but definitely not a “seaside lodge”.
