Service was ok, what food we could eat was ok but very expensive when the food is only ok and is mostly onion. $18.80+ per main i expected something great and was very dissapointed. Even the shiraz was not shiraz it was shiraz cab. See photo of onion amounts, ud be excused for thinking there was still a full meal left on plate
Purchased dinner tonight from Sea View Chinese Restaurant in Altona, and it was a horrible experience. Firstly, the delivery person was afraid of barking dogs, so much so that when he heard dogs barking, he literally ran back to his car! Little did he know that the barking dogs were from next door! Anyway, we got the food of him and we took it in to check it out. We ordered Roast Duck half, steamed Homemade Dim Sims, Homemade Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Roast Pork with Chilli Sauce and Vegetables, and Hot and Sour Soup. The vegetable spring rolls were nothing to rave about, and the dim sims were absolutely tasteless. The Hot and Sour Soup was not even to scratch as it felt that there was no effort put into making it. Now they were only the entrees. The main dishes were worse. I believe we ordered Roast Pork with Chilli Sauce and Vegetables. What turned out was BBQ PORK with Chilli Sauce and Vegetables! Who were they trying to kid replacing Roast Pork with BBQ Pork?! A Chinese restaurant not knowing the difference between BBQ Pork and Roast Pork?! We didn't get what we ordered. How ab out that half a Roast Duck? We know what is the difference between freshly chopped roast duck and one that has been chopped up a few days ago and then reheated, we believe was in a microwave oven! The meat was very dry and even the bones that were supposedly freshly chopped were dried out to the marrow! The taste was missing and they just accompanied it with Hoi Sin sauce. This restaurant is a joke. Those who have rated this restaurant highly either do not know Chinese food, or do not know what quality food is. This restaurant shouldn't even be in business! Never again.
Great food at a good price, wonderful service. I would highly recommend it. Have had multiple family functions here and have always had a great time. Great hidden gem in the inner west.
Friendly place, the food was great. Only thing that wasn’t delicious was the fried rice, however the fried ice cream... something I haven’t eaten since I was a kid... best I’ve had!
Though Ihaven't try every dishes in the menu , the ones we had is delicious love the sauce in meal and the service is 5 star as normal some time the server made mistake while they always patient to listen and made quick response . Under new management, as customers we are always open and cheerful this restaurant making such good progress whatever on decoration, service and please keep making beautiful, and genius Chinese cuisine for our altona peoples
Absolutely incredible food and service. We had an amazing family meal and were treated to delicious food and incredible hospitality from the staff. Would recommend
Food was ok... Service was great but it cost $100 for 3 mains a Rice and 2 entrees .... None of the mains were seafood so would never return because it was not worth it.
The food was nice but the service was ridiculously slow. We were a group of 7 and two meals still hadn't arrived by the time 5 of us had already finished!
We had difficulty with an online order which was quickly cleared up and delivered in person by the owner. Excellent customer service and delicious food.
I had the chilli beef, xxxtra spicey. It was DELICIOUS. Staff are friendly and always willing to talk. Would recommend 10/10!
