*Coffee Flagellation - Been a why since my last Toby's Estate* Trying to find cafes I have not been to in ages and I came across Scuro Espresso, a Toby's Estate cafe that I remembered also did single origin coffee... or at least... I thought they did. It turns out they have stopped doing that now for some unknown reason. Either way, I figured that now I was here I should at least try a coffee so I ordered a mac with only a little milk ... um.... look at the pic.. O_o, and was not surprised at all with what arrived. Don't get me wrong, the service here is fantastic, friendly, and the atmosphere is fine, but if you, like me, generally avoid Toby's Estate, this is unfortunately a cafe to avoid. It is a sad reflection on mass production of coffee when a roaster that I used to seek out end's up making something that is only marginally better than Vittoria... Oh well.... by comparison I am sure that the rest of the coffee I will drink today will be fantastic.
Awesome little cafe, right in the 'burbs of North Sydney. In a line of 4 cafe's this is the best by far. Toby's estate is my favourite and Nick knows how its meant to be made. Best Bacon and Egg roll in Sydney, and if you love your football, he usually has a game on the box!
The perfect, local coffee house. Nic's coffee is tops & his mum's home made & home baked tasty treats are delicious. Very friendly atmos.
