Drove down to Bowral from Sydney on Sunday and stopped for dinner at the Scottish Arms Hotel and it was just amazing. The decor was so cool, the staff were really friendly and the food was incredible. We ordered some garlic breads for an entree and schnitzels, curry, calamari and steak for the mains. Highly recommend this pub.
We had a lunch booking for 20 people for a work Christmas lunch. We couldn't have asked for better! Everything was easy & efficient, from booking the table, pre-ordering & paying. It's really clean, the atmosphere is great. Staff are friendly & helpful they even kept a meal warm for someone who was running late. Well priced & the food is delicious! What a great venue! Because it was out of town, I hadn't visited before but I'll definitely be visiting again. Access is easy for people of all mobility levels. The calm ambiance which contributes to easy conversation. Lots of parking. Great food. The food includes excellent vegan dishes. The chef reportedly was vegan until arriving in Australia and so provides wonderful dishes. Great outdoor area that is mostly under cover which was great today in the rain but would be wonderful in mid summer too. On my second visit I sat outside in the sunshine with my friend and dog. Staff supplied water for my puppy and then gave her many leftovers. Food was still fabulous. Highly recommended.
Picked here at random for dinner on an overnight stay in Bowral. Lucked out big time. Great food, cannot praise the staff enough for their help and enthusiasm, and a couple of beers new to me. I highly recommend as a great family tavern style venue. Thanks all.
A rainy Wednesday night treat. Peking Duck Spring Rolls shared Mains : 1/2 rack Pork Ribs & 300oz. Angus Rump steak. Food was delicious. Good atmosphere with the joint about 75% full. Friendly, courteous staff - nothing was any trouble to them. Beaut place
Great tasty food and friendly service. Does get pretty busy for lunch on weekends so expect waiting but they will tell you when you when ordering. They've just about covered every flavour of the schnitty. Vegan dishes are also available.
A wonderful atmosphere has been created in this family owned establishment. You are always welcomed, food is terrific & beer, especially the Guiness, superb. It is a "must visit' hotel.
A little isolated in regards to location, however, this pub has good quality meals with comfortable partially covered courtyard suitable for those with well behaved fur babies. It's nice to find somewhere dog friendly with a nice ambience!
Absolutely amazing...service food and atmosphere... I'd love this to be my local! Wish I didn't live so far away...
We often go to the SA. Service is very good indeed...efficient and friendly. We always enjoy the food. And it's reasonably priced.
