Been coming here for 15+ years. You should visit too if you want to be treated like a criminal / second class citizen at the self serve cash registers. A short, petite, dark haired woman will breathe down your neck, handle your items - inspecting them to see if they should be priced higher? As if the prices aren't already high enough? It's a terrible feeling to check out, give this company money, and be monitored in a way that is complete overkill and makes everyone feel uncomfortable. I have witnessed another customer confront her for doing so. It is not just me.nThis same employee will also not allow you to donate anything she deems 'not enough'. A small bag of clean, folded children's clothing 'wasn't enough' for her to give me the discount coupon, however just walked and donated it at the drive up section where they were happy to give me the coupon.nI prioritise other Savers locations over this one due to this employee. Multiple other Google reviews mention her also. Her power trip is ruining customer experience.
GreensboroughnI've been a Savers shopper for many, many years. I go there very often as I enjoy looking around and have found lot's of great items. Staff seem nice yet a handful not so. I donate a lot and today 02/05 I took in one item and went to ask for a vocher, the woman went to check my item. When I pointed it out, I was met with 'only one item?' She still gave me my voucher telling me as she handed it to me that they normally like to get a bag of things. I have never been told that, nor does it say anything about that on the voucher nor their website Irene, that just sounds super greedy! It's funny because for as long as I have been going there, most of the floor staff have been the same. To say that to a long time customer is really rude. I don't think Savers is strugglung much given some of the prices are a joke and they have become much higher in recent times. About 2 months ago, I've seen these little coloured stones that can be put on succulents, all in there original packaging. Some were full and some were half full and lower, ALL were priced the same at $4 !nSame with Kathmandu clothing, no matter the quality it's all priced the same. $16 - $17.49+. Some visably has had much more wear and there's no way I'd pay that price.nToday I saw 2 T-shirts, same brand, same size one was green, the other black. Two different prices nothing wrong with niether of them. $2 difference price.nIt's getting expensive there and to have been told they want a bigger donation than what I gave today was really rude and ungreatful!!!! I'm a 17 year residant of Greensborough and today Savers left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm diffinately taking a break from going there. I did buy a nice top with my voucher today, which was less then $2 off the price. I'm sure they'll put $5 or $6 on my donated item.
Normally have no problems but today was made to pay twice for the solid slip and the mesh layer of the same dress. Was only 5$ but it annoyed me all the way home. Got home and found out that both the mesh layer and the solid layer actually have the same brand tag on. Wish I had noticed at the store bc they didn’t believe me, they thought because they were different materials they were different brands a mesh slip would defeat the purposenStill 5 stars bc otherwise it’s great
Been coming here for more than a decade. I have never felt so disappointed since today. Grabbed an $18 dress from a rack, tried it on. Went to counter, tag must have removed while i was trying it on. I asked for a new tag and boom it was $25! I explained how it was $18.49 when i grabbed it. Asked for the manager, and said that's the price it gave her when she scanned. What?!?!? You could jave just given me a discount! $25 dress from a charity shop!?! I could have not been honest and just kept it in my shopping bag!
It’s average here. The pricing is inconsistent, close to price gouging if you ask me. They get all of these items for free but charge over $10 for most items. No matter what it is.nnThe apparel runs need to be waxed, desperately. The screeching of apparel being moved around is enough for me to leave the store. It’s unbearable
