These pizzas were a life saver and delicious! Places close earlier in Yamba then we were expecting and Sassafras’s kitchen was open the latest. We ordered the lamb and the patch and the patch. Both were excellent, but extra shout out to the lamb, it was outstanding! It only took 15 minutes from ordering to in hands, and all of the staff were delightful.
Service was amazing, staff very efficient. The food was quick and delicious. The pizza was great. Starting with the perfect base followed quilty toppings.our gnocchi was the softest and tasty. I would love to visit again.
Great food, excellent service. I had the Seafood Marinara from the specials board and my wife had the Lasagne. Had a Prawn Pizza 2 nights ago and it was also delicious. Will definetly be back loved it.

Absolutely amazing dining experience. Not only did they seat us a family of 6 after 8pm but they waited on us hand and foot and provided our meals so quickly. Everything was beyond delicious and excellent value. The staff were truly faultless - friendly, efficient and so welcoming. Honestly, 5 stars doesn’t cut it. So impressed. Kid-friendliness: Our kids were treated like customers - not inconveniences. So kind.
Walk ins. Busy night on a Sunday evening. People coming and going for takeaways. The phone never stopped. Fresh toppings that tasted so good. Pleasant place and pleasant people. We had to try the pizzas which were outstanding. All of the patrons were enjoying the food and the best service.
Nicely decorated, fresh and ocean feel. Food, when it eventually came, TWO HOURS later, was tasty. Only asked once in that time if I wanted to purchase a drink. Was exceedingly hot inside and many people using laminated menus as fans. Restaurant had 2 air cons so crazy they were not in use. I would only return on a quiet and coolish night. Clearly cannot cope with large bookings
Ive been twice in the last month as I visited Yamba. Loved the ambiance, it’s chill and the staff is very friendly. The food is excellent. We’ve had the saad and the pizza and it’s super good. The other dishes look amazing. The portions are quite big; great value. I’d recommend to make reservations as it gets busy! We came on a Wednesday 6pm and the place was busy off season.
Read reviews and thought pizza would be amazing but tonight we got takeaway “ The Patch” pizza expecting fresh produce. The pumpkin, spinach etc everything burnt to crisp so disappointed after waiting 40 mins seriously family so disappointed sorry to be writing bad review but not good enough
Loved Sassafras, we had some pretty mediocre meals at different restaurants during our stay in Yamba and we were really hoping for a saving grace - thankfully we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We had margarita pizza, lasagne and carbonara - all of which were delicious. The prices were great and service good also even on a fully booked night.
