Great Place to have a pizza and some snack to share. Located in the busy Hawthorn area just a walking distance from Quest, this place is packed with people dine in or take away. The pizza is super thin which makes it hard to hold or cut. But it comes with crusty crust which the kids loved. I personally prefer crusty base, but don't mind the thin base, which makes you able to eat more. Snack is good, the Croquettes only come in three.
I have visited this spot before and returned with some friends for a cheeky pizza on a warm night We had the Funghi, San Daniele and the Santoni Greco pizzas and a few drinks All in all nice pizzas but nothing outstanding, the price is quite expensive for the size of the pizzas and quality, needs a bit more flavour - good thin base It’s all about the rooftop if you are going here and the vibe so it gets a big tick for that reason. Service was super friendly
As a lover of all things pizza and pasta, Santoni Pizza & Bar was a delight to dine in. We were seated at the rooftop where we had a great view. The pizza we had was delicious and full of flavour, but the pasta we ordered was average considering the price. Staff were friendly and patient as it took us a while to decide what to order. Overall, a great dine-in experience with good service and pizzas but food were definitely on the pricier side.
Friendly and helpful staff. Ground floor seating is noisy with the door slamming loudly whenever people get in and out of the restaurant. We had 2 cocktails and 3 dishes. The prawn pasta was flavourful and delicious but the rest were not memorable. Price is on the high side.
One of the best pizza in Melbourne, the pizza base is something. Also, the rooftop is nice, looking over the traffic on a sunny day, cannot ask for more. Staff is very attentive and friendly, will return and try their pastas, the crab spaghetti maybe.
Lovely little set up outside with great European atmosphere but I had booked indoors given rain was expected. The rooftop would have been a fun option as I realised upon arrival that it was actually undercover however the level we were on had pleasant modern interiors and large windows with nice views of the street so had its own ambiance. Unfortunately it was sweltering inside, so much so that patrons were fanning themselves with menus long after I had requested the air con be turned on. We sat down to a lipstick stained glass on the table which didn’t help matters much either and kind of made me question whether the other two were actually clean! Food wise I was very underwhelmed. The buffalo margherita lacked flavour. Such a simple pizza needs the best ingredients to shine and the alleged San marzano tomato was incredibly bland. The lamb pizza we had requested no onion and it arrived with huge onion pieces fortunate for my husband as didn’t have to share it with me!. A disappointing waste of calories to say the least
The rooftop place is beautiful. We enjoyed our meal and the experience. Price and size of food could be better.
We had a wonderful time enjoying pizza & drinks on the rooftop bar. The food was delicious, plus the service was prompt & friendly. Looking forward to going back there soon.Food: 5/5
Santoni Pizza & Bar 634 Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn VIC 3122 Seasonal Italian staples in a modern 3-level space including a rooftop bar. Beautiful venue, friendly and welcoming staff. We ordered: Margherita pizza Funghi pizza Ichnusa Blonde Lager Apple Juice Finn loved his Margherita and we also enjoyed both pizzas until the very last bite. The crust had a great texture, crispy on the outside and soft & airy inside. I’m a mushroom lover and for me The Funghi was excellent. I could happily eat it everyday. Finn bites dining experience 4.1/5 $$
Good atmosphere. There were 3 levels I guess and we ate at rooftop. Easy access from Glenferrie Station. Food & staff were nice!
