I often only go to sandys when their manager is cooking as the food is cooked the way it should be. Last night I decided to give the burgers a go, the young lad they have cooking burgers needs to be made employee of the month, he makes a mighty damn fine burger, well balanced in all including sauces. As long as sandys has these two on I will continue going on those days.
Very touch and go. Have been there a number of times and will always have mixed reviews. Burgers are great although expensive. Garlic balls are over priced and undercooked. Chips are great value for money and usually cooked well.
Come up with the family for the day to the slash park, thought we would support a local business, Ordered 2× 1.25l drinks to share with 8 people we got 4 600mls bottles.... chips were a decent feed for us but were soggy, the Steak burger had some sort of cheap meat patty maybe sausage? the scallops were half cooked, ...Best part of the meal was the chicken nuggets which we had to drive back and collect as they were missing from the order.. U need to step up and rethink your food sales if u advertise steak make sure its god damn steak, you are closest to this park and it was busy today u could do so much more and make a truly successful business, best regards a disappointed customer

A fish and chip shop that actually give you a big size feed! Minimum chips won’t leave you hungry that’s for sure. Barra is delicious too. Only downside is their potato cakes scallops could be better. Otherwise best fish & chips in Maryborough!

I’ve been going to Sandy’s for over 4 years and they have been the best fish and chips in Fraser coast, always generous portions food cooked perfectly each time but lately now it’s starting to decline. Took clients out for the day for work, some ordered red emperor, cod, potato Scollops, chips. The scollops we couldn’t tell what was fish or scollop and it was the thinnest bit of potato and more batter then potato. Red emp was dry, chips were soggy and not cooked properly! I really hope they start to improve again!!
