A heritage listed building Sandgate Town Hall has been around for more than 100 years. It has all the facilities necessary for every type of event – from meetings to plays to parties.nnTo cater for these events the hall is open seven days a week eight o’clock to ten from Sunday to Thursday and from eight to twelve on Friday and Saturday. It has a kitchen with such equipment as refrigerator, oven, microwave etc.nnIt has a stage at one end of the building and a balcony at the other. Have attended a number of events, the latest being to hear the Bayside Divas choir singing memorable pieces from different eras.nnWhile the hall has been largely refurbished over the years, in the balcony where we sat the chairs were definitely not of the modern era; and a little bit uncomfortable.nnBeing very much part of the Sandgate Shopping Centre, if you’re looking for a snack and a cup of coffee before or after the event, you’ll find all the right places within walking distance.

Saw the infamous trio The Necks.nThe staff were nice, the seats were uncomfortable, the room was hot with no refreshments.
